Not a bad effort here. Strong midfield (I have gone with 4 prems too). Not sold on kruezer this year though and that waters call is very questionable. Otherwise solid team with a strong midfield and forward line.

My team is as follows:

Def: Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Broughton, Malceski, Golby, Ellis (brown, darley)

Mids: Ablett, Selwood, Thompson, Watson, Smith, Smith (ledger, magner)

Ruck: Mumford, Giles (stephenson, redden)

Fwds: Buddy, Fyfe, Chapman, Martin, Porplyzia, Pfeiffer, Dickson (Smedts, Hall)

Of course rookies are subject to change but any help would be appreciated.

your team looks good on paper. your mids are very strong. i had watson in but by downgrading hale to giles as a starter, so i had enough for swan but even considered thompson.

obviously porp is a weighted risk.. hopefully he is injury free for the year.. very good to watch when playing well :)

keep an eye on the rookies as we get closer to game day.. still not totally sold on my selections either.

here is my updated team.

BACKS: Goddard, Scotland, Deledio, Suckling, Clarke, Ellis, Bugg (Darley, Smedts)
MIDS: Ablett, Swan, Murphy, Selwood, D Smith, McDonald (C Smith, Magner)
RUCKS: Mumford, Giles (Redden, Stephenson)
FORWARDS: Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Lewis, Dangerfield, Pfeifer, Saad, (Kerridge, Dickson)

Still not sold on my backline.. unsure if Clarke will be a straight up selection and if Suckling will have a breakout year.

Thoughts overall?

I did one of those last minute, minimal research jobs that proved a success last year.

D: Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Lake, Clarke, Ellis, Darley, Smedts, Bugg

M: Pendlebury, Ablett, Swallow, Boyd, Coniglio, Ledger, McDonald, Couch

R: Mumford, Giles, Stephenson, Redden (Like everyone, but I wanted to fit McIntosh in somehow)

F: Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Martin, Petrie, Smith, Saad, Kerridge, Dickson

With absolutely nothing left in the bank.

I want to fit in a midfielder with a defender switch, but I can't see any obvious options. Otherwise I'm happy but expecting to make multiple changes over the next few days.

Just seeking some feedback on my team before the season opener.

Hi guys,

Pretty new to this whole thread thing.

Been stewing over my team for a few hours....

Any feedback etc appreciated.

Def - scotland, deledio, heppell, burgoyne, lake, ellis, darley, newell, baguely

Mids - Pendles, Ablett, vince, hayes, pfieffer, magner, d.smith, mcdonald

Rucks - mummy, hmac giles, redden

Fwd - franklin, goodes, fyfe, petrie, sidebottom, porps, weedon, kennedy, dickson

nice side daics.
some obervations are - as premium boyd can be inefficient, irate him higher in dt and keeridge looks a jet but with the form of crows established mids will he get a big run.

would be rapt to recevie feedback on my side:

Def: goodard, deledio, birchall, malceski, guthrie, clarke, ellis bugg morris
Mids: ablett, swan, murphy, selwood, parker, miles, mcdonald magnar
Rucks: mummy, giles, redden & the big o
Fwds: franklin, fyffe, martin, sidebottom, dangerfield, d smith, hall, kennedy & dickson

im still undecided on the malceski v (lake/hargrave/howard) and parker v rookie.

Hey Guys, would like some input on my team

BL: B Goddard - H Scotland - R Murphy - S Burgoyne - P Davis - M Warnock - B Ellis - P Bower - M Clarke

MF: A Goodes - L Hodge - B Deledio - J Caddy - A Morabito - C Smith - J McDonald - L Brown

RD: D Cox - D Hale - J Giles - O Stephenson

FL: L Frankin - M Pavlich - P Chapman - D Petrie - M Bate - J Porplyzia - R Stanley - B Smedts - I Folau

$8,600 lefted

I know my MF isn't strong so I was think of getting in Lake for Murphy in the BL and using the 400 000 to get a another mid...

Thoughts?

Re: Rate my supercoach 2012 (Part 3)

Hi guys I'm trying to improve at SC, was hoping you could rate my backline? At the moment I have -

Deledio
Scotland
Geary
Yarran
Coad
Sellar
Grimes

Ellis
Smedts

Bit different to the norm.... Thoughts?

Edit: cost is 3mill so about right for that number of players

Anyone? Fry? Bueller? Bueller?

duritz,

keep - scotland and deledio.
risks that could pay off - yarran and grimes. yarran could be a good point of difference if he can improve on his 2011 a little. whilst grimes is injury prone but has great scoring potential.
would reconsider - geary, coad and sellar. have they shown anything in the pre-season?

ellis looks like he should be a good rookie pick, whilst it seems like many are up in the air over smedts.

i would look to shift goodes and deledio into the forwards and defense respectively to capitalise on the scoring power of some of the pure midfielders.

players i have big question marks over;

defense - warnock and davis.
mids - morabito.
forwards - bate and stanley.

just for pre-season form (or lack of any games at all) as well as scoring potential.

nice side daics.

great team. i don't think you need to change anything personally. great premiums as well as solid mid-pricers in malceski, parker, sidebottom and dangerfield who have all had really promising pre-seasons.

Re: Rate my supercoach 2012 (Part 3)

Looks a bit messy tbh... I'd be looking at downgrading either or two of coad/geary/sellar and upgrading Yarran to a premium... Grimes is an injury risk but also a risk reward at his price... Others ok...

EDIT: Ed beat me to the punch, but seems we're pretty much on the same page...

Hi Guys

I am reasonably happy with my Premiums, but I am not sure about my Rookies (esp my forward line). I currently have my team set up as

Back Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Fisher, Clark, Ellis, Mohr
Emg Bugg, Morris

Mids Pendlebury, Ablett, Gibbs, Montagna, Stevens, Magner
EMG Hampton, Shiel

Rucks Mumford, Kreuzer
EMG Giles, Stephenson

FWD Franklin, Fyfe, Rioli, Martin, Zorko, Smedts, Treloar,
EMG D. Smith, Dickson (WBD)

Bank $61,400

My main issues are Zorko/Treloar/Dickson and the number of GWS kids I have

Does anyone have any suggestions ???

Fairly solid team, I'm not sold on Hayes though as I feel he has a lot of risk (age, injury). As an alternative to Hawkins, I've gone with Christensen- similar price, hopefully won't be wearing the red or green vest much this year. You have fewer rookies then most, so could potentially downgrade a mid-pricer (Porplyzia, Hawkins, Riewoldt, Lake) to another rookie as a long term strategy.

Hey Guys this is very much a work in progress as after final teams are announced its sure to change. Ive tried to go with an even spread of teams to account for the byes, didn't want to go too heavy in any areas and try at least 1 rookie in each section. Also I understand my back line is a bit light, I just have more faith in my mids and fwds to score.

BACKS: Goddard, Enright, Drummond, Malceski, Lake, M.Clarke, Bugg (Bootsma, Mangan)

MIDS: Ablett, Murphy, Bartel, Martin, Boak, Coniglio (Hampton, Magner)

RUCKS: Mumford, Maric (Giles, Stephenson)

FWDS: Franklin, Fyfe, Chapman, Sidebottom, Porplyzia, D Smith, Pfeiffer (Smedts, Crozier)

I originally had question marks over blokes like Malceski, Chapman, Porplyzia and Boak but pre-season form, though not real games, proves there fitness. The only big question mark I really have is over Drummond!

Any feedback would be great, thanks

hey guys, changed my team again this morning,

FORWARD: Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Dangerfield, Porplyzia, D.Smith, Pfeiffer - (A.Kennedy, T.Dickson)

changed martin to dangerfield and upgraded waters to carrazzo
