I was the last one to post in the old thread so I thought I'll start this one. We all know the drill by now try to contribute before you ask for a rating on your team.

I would say it's more than likely he will get games this year but I think he's injured at the moment. You might want to check that.

Pretty sure Murphy was injured as well. Is he ok now?

Yeah the rucks could be a problem.

I'm not fussed about ruck replacements. Lobbe is only there so he can swap with Tippett (meaning a forward emergency starts). McCauley is the cheapest 4th ruck possible. Waste of a spot.

It's not a bad side mate. Pretty original as well. Personally, I see Ablett as a must have but to each his own. You have used the spare money from Ablett well in the midfield though. Leave the mids as is if ya not gonna go Ablett. Same with the backs as well for that matter. Both look good. I'm not convinced Pods will get alot of games. I see him as insurance for Mooney and Hawkins. Hitchcock (port) looks like a better option to me. If you have the spare cash, upgrade White to either Naitanui or Hille. Both will score better than White.

I think you have capitalised on the 3 rookie mid system well.....your forward line is very strong.

Struggle to argue with anyline of your team really....good job.

No Ablett..Masten may be inconsistent. Turns over under pressure.
Still not convinced on Dangerfield. Not big scores in NAB. Betts?? mmm..I have been thinking about him myself. Maybe inconsistent.

Hey... Don't know if I'm getting in before your deadline but my thinking goes I love the team... Reckon you're pretty close to perfect there. I'm not sold on 2 swannies in the backline simply due to points sharing... Also from a purly personal point of view I'm not into Medhurst as a SC option but up to you champ. Reckon you've got a pretty good set up myself.

i think you need to get rid of one of ladson or hunt but i think you should find the cash from other areas ie Goodes or Swan should be downgraded imo. Goodes' nab form hasnt been great get i think there is as much value in higgins or buddy and that gives you 150k. also i think swan is probably overpriced and isnt going to go up anymore i think pendles is a better option for 60k this gives you enough to keep ladson or hunt and upgrade the other

bastinac and banner are probably safer but really who knows who will be in and out of sides.
i have gone naitanui over hille but i think seaby may go alright but for 30k it may be worth upgrading and lobbe well i have him for mpp but i dont expect to be making any cash off him at all so really it depends if you want the mpp option

Mate, just a suggestion...rate someone elses team before posting...more often then not if you dont yours wont be rated.

Credit where its due, your backline is certainly different to most. not that in everyones language different is better, however you catch some people out especially early if things go your way. Waters should be fine. Tbh i havent tracked raines pre season but the lions took him for a reason so he may get a game early. Wouldnt have sheppard in the team...trade him out for a kid and put goose on...otherwise make some more cash by downgrading others and upgrade him to ladson or hunt.

Not bad in the middle though if your going to have trengove on the field, why not replace him with barlow ? almost guaranteed to have 22 games each (barring injury) and itll save you about 70K..upto you of course. Give palmer a couple of games to find his feet after last seasons injury...perhaps go with m.mcveigh or masten early because theyre more likely to rise at the start of the season.

Rucks are fine

A lot of cash in that forwardline but sylvia is out injured and franklin is suspended so i would look at moving sylvia out. also your benchies at the moment arent guaranteed to play. try gumbleton and hitchcock or rockliff

Backline is almost the same as mine but i have malceski instead of kennelly...at the lower price i see more upside but i think theyll both be good buys.

I dont have ablett in my team (yet there are times when i wonder why) but clearly he is a brilliant scorer. good midfield although not sold on cooney...i prefer griffen or ball to be honest. good reserves and rookies should do you well

Not a nic nat fan in SC as most would know by now but i hope he can make you some money and bring in some good scores. Personally i have chosen hille as my second ruck and if i wasnt to choose him it would be seaby. first season at a new club, number 1 ruckman and averaged over 70 in the nab challenge...not bad at all i would think

im currently wrestling with the idea of rockliff on the field and taking that risk in the hope it pays off long term...ill probably end up going that way and with the cash i save upgrading elsewhere. Its a good looking forwardline mate..

This belongs in the Rate my team thread as stated earlier.

Clearly you need to make changes but I would disregard advice of no Pendlebury or Gray. I don't have Pendles personally but he's a good choice. I have Gray and think with time spent in the midfield he is a keeper in 2010. Danger may be in for a breakout year, but personally think his SC scores so far this preaseason are a worry.

Looking at your side I would say Enright or Newman are safer selections than Duffield. Krak, Raines and Shepperd I would say no to. Revise those selections. After Krak peaked last year he became a very frustrating selection, for those who kept him, in the 2nd half of the season. Raines couldn't get a game at Richmond. Not sure Shep will play.

In the mids I think Palmer is a no. He won't play round 1...maybe longer and hasn't had a preseason. Cooney should get better after having a preseason, even though his scores suggest otherwise so far. Last year no preseason and his goal conversion rate and efficiency were down, even though his average possessions increased for the 5th year in a row. His numbers will improve. I would take a chance with him or even Luke Ball, who seems a popular pick.

Rucks OK.

In the forwards get rid of Sylvia. Has a broken jaw. Not sure when he returns. Maybe downgrade him and another forward to Barry Hall and another mid pricer. Buddy should be in for an improved year, for mine he is an upgrade target though. He is also out round 1. Hawks to struggle early this year I suspect. Tough draw for them and no Sewell and possibly Burgoyne early. After Melb, we play Geelong, WB, Coll.

I think you should just have a good read through the rate my team threads. You will probably get a better idea of who to replace and who to get
