Just a quick fix on a few problems in my team. What do you guys think?

I think it looks pretty good.

If I were you and wanted to do something to help protect against doughnuts and trade out Embley and put Ryder in your backs. Replacing him in the rucks with Tippet (or someone like that). Which enables you (with the new positional change rule) to: in case of an injury in your rucks to swap the positions of Ryder and Trengrove meaning you cover that zero with Ryder and covering his absence in the backline with someone who would probably score more than Lobbe or Trengrove.

I hope that makes sense.

I know see the positional change's worth.
I probably have enough cash spare to keep Embley and upgrade Myers to Ryder if i were to do this...

This new rule will make me think some...
Cheers for that :thumbsu:

Thoughts?

I think the structure is fairly balanced, tried to go for premiums who have a history of durability (a couple had probs last year but historically i.e B Harvey they have played 20+ games per year). Prismall is only punt in this area. Taken risks on some lower valued players with injury probs, if some don't come off will be an upgrade anyways.

Tried to exploit value in lower priced defenders and on the cusp premium mids (Pendelbury / Prismall etc).

So far gone for mature aged rookies on bench as last couple of years has proved fruitful - but most bench positions could obviously change after NAB.

My estimate is 12 keepers with 4/5 potentials.

Apart from the seven players I highlighted your team looks OK

Drummond- Look, everyone has been burnt by this guy sometime. He may just pay off. But someone like Enright or Carrazzo are probably safer, more durable options

Guerra- Will play on the small forwards this year with Birchall and Ellis playing HBF, wing roles. Dont expect an average of much more than 70.

Scott D Thompson - He is the Roos full back whick for me pretty much means dont consider straight away but he does play a DT friendly role. But expect those scores of 40 or so every few weeks.

Deledio - Pick him in the forwards.

Blease - Hasn't got an AFL ready body and Melbourne will play Scully, Trengove and co before him you would think.

Woneamirri - isn't he injured. If not a nice cheap selection.

There's my 2 cents :)

Not fussed that Myers did his hammy again?

What is this trading you speak of?

I thought your squad had to be finalised before it opens. At least, that's the way everyone's acting ATM.

First crack, looking like another midpriced team this year

B; Carazzo, Fisher, Hodge, Ellis, Myers, Waters, Ladson (Hardingham, Maguire)
C; Swan, Bartel, Vince, Young, Trengove, Martin (Shuey, Blease)
R; Brennan, Kreuzer (Lobbe, Trengove)
F; Brown, Franklin, Rioli, Lecras, Gray, Dangerfield, Veszpremi (Gumby, Johnstone)

- Nine definite premiums
- Five that i'm 95% sure will be at least keepers, barring injury
- Six lower/bargain picks, would be happy if say 2 became lower end keepers
- Two more expensive rookies who should score reasonably well
- 90k reserves, whoever i think is most likely to play at the time

Also ive been away for a while, so if anyones injured/shouldnt be picked for whatever reason, let us know:)

Myers has recently done a hammy. I think he might be touch and go for the first NAB cup game at this stage.

Young has done very little of the pre-season from what I understand, and may not be available come the start of the season. I'm not entirely sure about Waters but I think he has had a similarly-interrupted pre-season.

LeCras will be played as a forward this season and not as a midfielder like most of us had hoped for, though he may still be a pretty good pick anyway.

Sorry in advance if this question has already been raised and answered....

Is it better to spend all your $$$$ on the best team you can, or keep say 100K plus or minus for your first trades/upgrades??
