Who Are Keepers

Hey their,

I think my team is nearly all keepers but I need some advice on who I still need to upgrade. My team is:

I have 25k in the bank.

I figure these are who I need to trade:

DEF: Waters (Maybe), Mcguire (breakeven on 29 atm so ill wait)
FWD: Ziebell

What are your opinions? Is their anyone else who has to go or should any of them stay?

Well that depends on how many trades you have doesn't it?

If you have no trades then they're all keepers.

The team is pretty weak, short on high end premiums. In a normal team Id say Maguire Trengove Gumbleton Ziebell and Pods should not be in your team come say round 15 or 16 unless injuries hit hard.

Agree with BB, without having those high end premiums, you really limit yourself in how high you can be ranked. Id say you have at least 5 NON KEEPERS.

Didnt mean it like that guys, just being honest, the question was whether or not all those players on the field are keepers was it not? IMO those players that I mentioned are not. If he had Ablett, Chappy, Sandi and Montagna maybe a couple of those guys like Pods or Trengove may be able to be excused as keepers.

As for Brennan, the situation is tough because he could only miss 3 but might miss 6 or 8.

If you have enough trades:

Out: (in order)
Brennan
Ziebell
Maguire
Waters
Kruezer/Hille
Trengove
Hargrave (unless he hits some form)
Waite

I have Maguire, Waters and Trengove in my team as keepers though.
By the looks of your bench players you have alot of trades...
Would keep Pods and Barlow in any case

Ziebel, Maguire, Trengove and Gumbleton are all gonna need to go at some stage. If i were you id trade brennan (Going to be out for an extended period and even if he comes back early his a spud(JUST MY OPINION)) Then you can move gumbleton onto the pine.

Your gonna be stuk with those rucks. Their solid but preferable you would have sandi or cox in there but gonna have to run with that for now. WHat everyones saying is right. You really limit yourself by having to many mid pricers. I know the saying is buy low sell high and the sell high part of it is always correct but at some point you have to invest extra cash and chase the Swans, Abbletts, Pavlichs etc etc coz otherwise your just not gonna generate the points to push aggressivly up through the ranks. You really need to try to find the right point to buy these sorts of players when they are as cheap as possible and try to find the cash to invest.

Sounds good. Maybe hold off a week tho as i think from memory gilbert has a high BE so should drop a bit in price. Then again their playing essendon so should score well. Will leave you with a fairly solid team tho

15 trades with 145k in the bank... need a big mid trade for next week.

Was ranked 1400 last week.. but due to the limp wristed pea heart flogs listed above are a bunch of dogs, they all decided to be potato farmers for a week.
