Honest appraisals pls from Lions fans.

How do you rate Rischitelli?

Is he any good?

In comparison to many a player he is good - I think we've seen his best in Maroon, Blue and Gold.

Best tackler at the club... hard, tough, reliable.

Rubbish - think you're going by stats. There are plenty ahead of him, D Rich has more of an impact tackling that Rischa.

Losing Richa is going to hurt the Lions midfield. You guys got smashed by us in clearances during the finals.

We lost the clearances in almost every game regardless. I dont think losing him will impact that.

Put it this way... I put money on him as a smokey for top 5 in this year's Brownlow. Obviously kinda let me down, but that's how highly he's regarded.

I woulda taken your money.

I rate him as being in our best 22, probably in the 16-22 range.

Agree

Rischa looked like he could be a star. Hasn't developed and at best is a "good honest player".

Agree

Dont get me wrong, I like(d) Rischa, I just feel we've seen the best of him and its an opportunity to move on and gain something.

I like Rischitelli, but I think he comes with some baggage. I'm concerned that he'll never be the same player after sustaining some eye damage in the 2009 Elimination Final. Bad luck for Carlton.

If Judd's a soft **** for doing a stupid thing on a field what does that make brown?
Haha, when Brown had a go at someone in his "raw" days, he'd do it face to face, not while the other person is defenceless, and not some bullshit eye gouge.

Dayne Beams is a second round draft pick from last year, and his first season was better than Michael Rischitelli's sixth season. If this deal goes through, then Brisbane are the clear winner.

I always laugh at the lengths you go to to make every thread somehow about Collingwood.

Rischitelli will be replaced by Buchanan. We will be no worse off.

As much as I like Rischitelli, I reckon Buchanan is a better player. I reckon a lot of people may be pleasantly surprised by how he might go for us over the next few years.

Here's hoping, at least!

wouldnt have happened if the little sook had of come to us in draft when he was supposed to....

Carlton should throw in another player as a sweetener. Walker comes to mind but that wont happen, wishful thinking i suppose.

Rischa is replacable but i rate him pretty high for his toughness

While Riska hasn't set the world on fire, I think he has the potential to. Coming toward 100 games my concern is his development into the best player he can be is really coming to the time when it will show itself or he will remain below the top rung. His best is sensational & he's very much been inconsistent through lack of self belief. He's admitted himself he gets anxious & plays games in his head during the week. The more mature he becomes the less I think that would grip him. It would hurt to watch him go around in a Blues jumper, especially if he does take that next step up. Might not but it's a distinct possibility.

To me, riska was a bit disappointing this year. Not sayin he was terrible, but didnt step up as much as we'd have likd. Cant realy remember any game where he was up amongst our best few players.

Id prefer to keep him than mcdonald tho. Pretty good skilz, nice long kick, would be amonst our top tacklers, can go forward & chip in with the odd goal.

What?

Are you bizarro parrot and trying to troll by being stupid?

This would explain parrot's posts and trolling based around Collingwood in the last day.

I guess you're not happy to have Carlton coming after the Pies with soft plodders such as Mclean, Robinson, Joseph, Browne, Hadley, Rhys O'keeffe and Rischitelli hitting in hard against the likes of Sidebottom, Beams, Swan, Didak and Pendlebury. :thumbsu:

As a result, Judd, Gibbs, Murphy, Simpson, Walker, Russell, Carrazzo, Scotland and Grigg will be carrying the ball and playing to their strengthes next year.

Midfield depth is a terrible thing after we lost a rising 29 year old on big money.

A win-win trade with the Lions getting a big name to draw media attention away from GC17 and Karmichael Hunt for the next two seasons.

:thumbsu:

Dayne Who????
That's my point. It was Beams first season this year. Many people don't know him such as yourself. Despite that I believe he had a better season than Rischitelli, which says a lot.

Why? I'm a Collingwood supporter, so I'm more familiar with Collingwood players. I definitely believe that Beams in his first season had a better season than Rischitelli in his sixth season though. If you disagree, then I'm interested to read why you believe that.

Actually, I have nothing in common with that person, so please don't compare me to anybody. If you don't agree with my opinion, then instead of getting personal, please show reasons why you feel that way. I'm interested in talking about the topic, but I'm not interested in discussing BigFooty members.

Collingwood and Carlton have a great rivalry. i think the teams should play each other 22 times next season! :)
