Going to enjoy today's Deemolition job aaaall week because we could be in some trouble next Sunday. Few sides come out looking as white hot as the Crows do right now. If we can take it to them on their home turf, then maybe we can start talking finals...

Suspect there will be no changes.

Understand some will expect Phillips to be dropped, but no midfielders in the VFL did enough to earn a call-up.

Pretty simple griff in for pink

Corr, Logue and chom vs thilthorpe, Tex and forgarty
I think Griffin will get a bit of conditioning, hasn't looked ready all year.

I think we can beat them in the contest, it is the outside that worries me.

Philips is a risk for me, our clearance game is good so if we had another outside player they would be in. Just don’t think we have the player right now

Subbed again with under 15 touches.

Laid a couple of nice tackles, but just can’t get near it.

Just dropping by to say cracking win today by your side. I loved how you guys went fast on transition at all costs, didn't always work out but it looked like a defined plan. High pressure and willing to run hard both ways, it will be our hardest test so far this season against you guys next weekend.

I expect we'll lose. you guys look scary good. I just hope we keep it competitive and don't get blown away like the Saints and Bombers.

I think he was given a defensive role to contain one of their mids to stop them getting easy ball on the outside like they did during the practice match. He only played 56% ToG. 6 Tackles and 16 pressure acts in 56% time on ground is pretty good. Once we were on top in the midfield Clarkson did the sub to bring Stephens on. Not everyone is going to run around and get 30+ disposals.

I wouldn't leave him out until we get Wardlaw back, Phillips pretty much had the same number of tackles in half a game as three of our other mids that played a full game. Even then, I think he is still valuable to the side even after Wardlaw comes back.

You just have to embrace these challenges.

We’ve absolutely annihilated both opponents around the contest for the first two rounds. We just have to take the same mindset into this one. It’s got to be our sides trademark.

We failed to execute in Rnd 1 and managed to stuff up open opportunities.

We converted better in the second half of Rnd 2, but it was by no means perfect. The Demons were horrible at points, if he executed on some of their turn overs it should have been 15 goals…

We have so much improvement left in us based on ball use alone.

Adelaide are running on all cylinders outside the stoppage. If we can exert the same dominance around the ball and clean up our use. It will be interesting.

I’m worried about the key defenders. As they are that tall I doubt we will be able to play Comben loose. If there’s any change it should be a Whitlock or Dawson to come in to play on Curtin when forward. They are running a 4 pronged forward line with Thilthorpe, Tex, Foggarty and Curtin at times.

In fact, if I could bring in anyone from the VFL it would be Tomlinson for this game, it was an oversight not to get him a rookie slot.

Don't like the look of their mids outside the contest.

Keays, Scholl, Rachele, Sligo, even ANB, Dawson definitely. They run hard both ways, something our blokes do not do. Melbourne are old and slow, Adelaide are not.

This has Keays kicking six written all over it.

One of our dear friends from the Crows . I wish you well next week but you know I would be lying lol.
In all seriousness the Crows have a very deep list and with GWS the two sides that will be very hard to beat this yr. Hoping we can be competitive and pinch a win . PS where are you playing Laird this yr not pure midfield?

No thank god, across half back now as his days as a mid are past him. Still racked them up v the bombers and went at a pretty high disposal efficiency too. I genuinely wish you guys the best this year and it looks like its starting to click now after years of building the side.

The midfield battle this week will be a ripper

Oh ok thanks for that info . It will be won or lost in the first quarter for us. We just need to stick with the Crows early otherwise we will be chasing a fair way back all game.

Given where we are vs where they are and how they have won, anything inside their margins for the first 2 rounds (63,61) should be viewed positively.

We are up against it and it'll be interesting to see how we fight.

hopefully we give it a red hot crack.
