I more stuffed that people are still tipping Freo.

I had a chance to bet Hawks/Cats Grand Final quinella coupled with Dockers wooden spoon at 68 to 1 with sportsbet. Thats $100.00 down for a $6800.00 return.

My thinking was with such a huge loss of experience ( exit J Carr, M, Carr, H Black, S Mcmanus, P Bell, M Johnson etc ) that even if it was a positive turnover for Freo in the long run, such drastic change would take time to sort out.

I let myself get talked out of it based on Dockers having 12 games here at Subi and not finishing lower then Melbourne.

I'm starting to think I should have backed myself in.

Essendon V Carlton will only draw about 60,000... I think it will be about 7-8,000 below what would normally be expected because alot of people will be away for Easter. Secondly, to be honest, whilst Essendon won today, I dont think the Essendon fans are convinced that their team is anything better than a young team that beat the second bottom side...

Time will tell.

Not to mention a lot of our supporters only rock up to the "home games".

I'd be guessing we'll get a bigger crowd against the Blues when we play them on a Friday night in June when it is our home game.

Then tell me why did Essendon only get 27,000 to today's match when Essendon have 38,000 member's?

For the same reason Collingwood got 30K of their 45K members at yesterday's game.

You don't ever get your full quota of members rock up each week.

The only game you'll see 90% or more of Essendon's membership base at the one game will be ANZAC Day this year as all supporter groups from across the country will make the trek to the MCG.

Don't think too many WA Bombers, SA Bombers etc would have made a trip across to see the team play Freo at the Dome. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Why are so many people tippin Brisbane? The Swans have a great record against the Lions.

Since 2004 Sydney and Brisbane have played each other 10 times. Sydney has won 8 of those games, Brisbane has won 1 of those games and we had 1 draw.

The last time Brisbane beat Sydney was Round 1 2004.

Agree with this, can't see a huge amount of Essendon supporters turning up

I doubt Carlton v Essendon will get anywhere near some of the earlier estimates. I bought tix yesterday, the PAX numbers were 26099 - 26101. I don't think AFL members need to pre-book seats for this game, but even so it's not a great number.
