We simultaneously should be down by far more, but should also be a lot closer. If our players were actually capable of not making basic skill errors and fumbling at every chance, we’re in this up to our eyeballs

Poor skills. Too many 3rd/4th Round picks and Rookies.

Need some high-end draft picks though the door who can mark, kick and handball to a target.
There's been some 3rd and 4th round picks and rookie picks that have solid kicking skills.

I can probably have a starting 18 on freos past players on that

F*k it’s painful
Every time they do something half decent it’s quickly followed by a mind boggling WTF moment.
This team 🙄

C'mon Pearce hasn't been that bad. It was serong fault for kicking back to him..his intensity been good. Cox is the one..
Both had their moments. Pearce should not have taken so long to dispose of it, and then should have hit MJ on the chest. Always going to ground every contest too. Never keeps his feet.

And cox is soft as today. That goal line effort was disgusting.

This inefficient method is going to burn us out . If we fix the basic skill errors it will look better.

Driz looks cooked and it’s only the first qtr…

Ball movement certainly seems a lot better this week. Pleased to be seeing something different so credit there. Skills have been abysmal. Easy, easy marks and 15 - 20m kicks not being executed. Couple of lazy efforts too, which is one thing contributing to the poor skills.

Yep - game plan myth busted

If anything this game has done the opposite in terms of proving the gameplan has been the problem. Skill level is poor, I agree. But the way they are playing today is absolutely nothing like how we have played this year and I think we would be 4-2 or 3-3 (would certainly have beaten North) if we had tried to play with this intent every week.

Still an awful awful kick from AP. Cox should be copping a massive bake though correct, he’s cost us one goal and mm away from costing another

The melts are a bit over the top.

Thought the quarter was OK, two things really hurt us, one is fumbling, as soon as one does it the pressure comes and it becomes contagious. Second is because we're a young team we don't stick our tackles, way too many tackles getting broken that usually shouldn't be.
