I'm worried that GC will come out firing and their big midfield guns will get them off to a good start.

But we'll fight back but not so sure we'll win by all that much.

For the past few games I've gotten used to listening to all the talk mid week about our improvement and 'now is their real test, can they beat WB/Freo/Coll etc', and then having all saturday to think about the game because we've played on sunday.

But with a saturday game against GC and relatively little talk about it given the quality of opposition I find that it's crept up on me a bit.

Hope this doesn't put the mozz of him but with Franklin missing, Reiwoldts bye and Kennedy coming up the Gold Coast, it's plausible that Kennedy can kick 8 goals or more and lead the Coleman medal race after this round

Never expect to thrash a team. They matched up well against us in the pre-season game and that was without Ablett.

I really think today will be a great indication of the true mindset and improvement of our playing list. It has been widely excepted that we are greatly improved and a top 8 contender. The big wins against Freo and the Bulldogs were great, with the Freo win widely tipped before the game, and the Bulldogs thrashing vastly improving our standing in the pecking order. The 50pt loss to Collingwood, while dissapointing, was a timely reminder to supporters and players, that while we have greatly improved, we are still a work in progress.
I know anything can happen in footy in any given week, but if we are to seriously be considered a top 8 threat, then we have to make a statement today.

We do love the late changes don't we, continues to dog my dreamteam but oh well. It will be interesting to see how Swift plays, hopefully in Kerr's position I like him as inside as possible.

Was hobbling badly at three quarter time last week - only noticed it in the highlights vid.

Not really happy that Kerr keeps having troubles BUT if there was ever a chance for Masten and Swift to really put in a good game it's this! Way more excited now these two boys will be playing a full game.

They both have shown really good signs at times and today against young mids (bar Gazz) is a real chance.
