I believe it to be random, some clubs have strong rivalry with each other so they may request to play each other twice.

spoke with broadford coach doona this morning who said a guy he had earmarked for a match day role had joined Kilmore as their football operations manager. seeing we are new to your comp i was wondering do all clubs have people in such positions or is it a new step in becomming more professional both on and off field? the way things are heading these days I can understand this way of thinking
It's not random if clubs request to play each other twice. (If that request is granted.)I believe it to be random, some clubs have strong rivalry with each other so they may request to play each other twice.

Hope he can play, Kilmore need more than a football operations manager.
Did hear that Diggers were no longer paying jose so he had left to pursue other options, or not playing at all.
Does the RDFL interleague team play the division 1 SFL interleague team, or division 2 side? If it is the Div 1 side the RDFL are in for a decent reality check. Whilst not as strong as the A grade ammo's or Eastern league, the SFL Div 1 football is of a very good standard and would beat the RDFL comprehensively in my opinion. Div 2 would be of a similar standard though.
Wether it is Div 1 or Div 2 they play, i must say it is good to see the league reintroduce the interleague concept back into the RDFL.
Fundraiser at W.C.C
As most would know, last years coach and one of our best performed players over many seasons Adam Johnstone sustained a serious knee injury during the football season. It has come to the clubs attention that Adam has endured a number of out of pocket expenses in his operation and rehabilitation. To help Adam out we are going to conduct a fundraiser on Saturday night 13th of December at the club. The finer details are yet to be organised but there will be a dinner or BBQ, drinks at bar prices and a raffle or two. All profits on the night will go to Adam.
Be there and help the club support Johno.
ANYONE WELCOME!!!!
Can anyone shed any light regarding the interleague game??
Contrary to popular opinion, Lancefield Football/Netball Club are very happy to announce that 2008 Bowen medalist Tommy Waters has signed and will remain with the club in 2009. Naturally Tommy was subject of many offers from clubs for his services, and we are very pleased that he decided to remain with us. This coincides with the signing of Lee Irwin, who is returning to the club from a stint at Kyneton, the confirmation that Ben Talbot will play in 2009 and a number of other potential recruits. The Tigers are looking forward to continuing our improvement of 2008, with good numbers on the track and a good vibe around the place.
Training continues on Monday and Wednesday night this week before the Christmas break, and any new players are more than welcome to come and have a run.

Interesting to see he signed at Lancefield - came out and put a big price on his head. The thing is the kid needs to prove himself at a higher level to get paid what he was asking. Another good year in the RDFL won't raise his price in 2010. Needed a year of 2 to show he could be a good player in a better standard comp and then ask for it.
If you want to be a big dog you need to stop peeing like a puppy.
so he courted sunbury to get what he wanted at lancefield. pretty smart i think
I agree with you there KA. Surely you should prove your worth in a major league for at least a year or two before you ask for that sort of coin.Throw in Crazyburn, Gisborne and Marbo park. Yes smart if he is a Lancefield player for life. Burning your bridges and playing clubs could hurt him in the long term. Being a good player in a weak team in the RDFL makes him someone that maybe ok in a stronger league.
And maybe that is why clubs offered him half of what he asked for and maybe that is why he stayed - some people like being a big fish in a little pond.
Umm, what? I think I must have missed something.
Anybody got any more info on the Kyneton boys at Woodend?
Have heard that Mick Martin-Alcaid is a done deal, not so sure about D. Chambers though.
