There seems to be a lot of big mouths on this thread.::confused:

1. VAFA up to B Grade is not worth a pinch of goat s*#%
Rupo have lived on the premise that they have been successful but I would not brag about playing in grand finals in an u10 comp. I know I have play in it.

2. To the chiefwiggam:thumbsdown: whose knowledge of football seems to be up to the same standard as my dead grandmother you state that there is not one player in the Sunbury team that would play at Rupo, then you must know more than your recruiters because they seem to make a lot of calls to these guys. Let’s list some
Jason King (Rupo would have him back in a second)
Bobby Johnson (think he played seniors last year didn't he man your argument is really holding up)
Cameron Watson (why don’t you tell your people to stop calling him)
Jackson Baddeley( played for Rupo and would not go back)
Matthew Welsh
Robert Ellis
Daniel Ellery
Would you like me to stop or keep going:

3. It's amazing how Gisborne were more than happy to have J House playing with them this year before he came to us.

Now for allears & sideshowbob:thumbsdown: you guys are turning bigfooty into a joke with you inept and uneducated opinion Allears how many player did the kangaroos rotate in the game (I would say 37)
Now my alliance is with the kangaroos and believe me there is a s#%* load of work to do for that club to be successful but they must be headed in the right direction as there is a lot of people wanting to keep them down. Finals I am not sure if they will play them this year but would it not be good to see a final five like
Diggers
Centrals
Woodend
Kilmore
Kangaroos
This comp while young does have a future with sides like these that are up and coming but we are never going to make it if people persist on talking crap, opinions are good but unfortunately like arssholes everybody has one, it’s just a matter of the s*#% that come’s out.
Yes I am p***ed because I respect this comp and the kangaroos and I cannot work out why people continue to rubbish both.
How about we be more productive and talk about the footy and what is happing in this comp and have a great year all round
Remember the glass should be always half full.:thumbsu:

mate did you hit the flippers early today, a praccie next yr ?? against rupo muhhahahaha..... mate dont you think after this years effort at keilor. Hume city council should implement some sort of ban on you goons, its one thing getting flogged week in week out during the year, but to force people to watch it in march? , surely there is some sort of law against it.... champ you've started the yr well , 6 wins to go dont spoil it ...

CHEIFWIGGAM, mate it's ok to call yourself after an fictional character but to think like one is just above and beyond, what r u talking about a practice match and as for the kelior game you were there yes? for a bunch of goons it was a good game of football to go down by 35pts against a A grade EDFL side was a good effort.
when you grow up and understand more about football you will hopefully look back on this and realise there is more to this game than the final score, and mate regardless what you read on this site their is nobody at the kangaroos getting ahead of themselves.
just keep plooding along buddy. :D

Give us a spell, house left Gisborne after playing 5 mins in one praccy match. Would not have got a game in the twos. He is a march champion.

Grubby, Mate cannot comment on House yet as i have not seen him play a full game.

Noticed on the RDFL web site that Bobbie Beare has put in a clearance from Kyneton to Woodend, does he have a coaching role there? He'd be into his 40's wouldnt he these day, he seemed an old fella when he was at Heathcote years ago.

Matt Nicholls wroteabsolute garbage at the express and fromall reports is continuing it at the free press.
His ridiculous views on sport upset a lot of people - coaches and players - and he won't last if he offends people over that way as he did when he worked in gisborne.
Nobody in the sporting community respected him and his writing was just putrid.
Enough said.

Where's thepurplepassion gone on this one???

I must admit having doen a wee little bit of sport a few years back I was taken back by the dig at Lancefield, especially considering it was round 1, they have by all reports lost some quality and thirdly his boss (Billy West) is a living legend amongst the Lancefield community.

First of all its about 10 sentences so it wouldn't take long to write, second of all i just stated that I know pickles and it would be no hassle to ask him to email it to me. I wish i could write as well as 'the great man' as you call him, but i went to gisborne high school for god sakes. And as for the review, yes it boast some quality features. But Bill West is one of the best and most respected country journo's in the business. I reckon it was the best thing Pickles could have done by moving, he's not Mike Sheahan yet, but I think he will get closer by working under West than working at the Express or Review

ya wouldnt be related to the picklesmeoldmate that seems to have disappeared from the Bendigo League threads in recent weeks purple and have now bobbed up as the passion?

hey first time poster here, just found the thread, as a Woodend boy i have read his stuff in the Express, I think he writes some crap, but generally writes how things are. i don't get the free press so i don't know if he has changed or not, but the lancefield article seemed pretty accurate. maybe a big call so soon in the season, but it must take a bit of guts to make a statement like that.

I actually went and had a look at that thread, and isn't picklesmeoldmate Luke West from the Bendigo Addy?

cant comment on his skills or guts as i haven't seen enough of him play, he is young and obviously doesn't know what he wants to do, fair enough, he ended up going to play with a couple of mates and as for not getting a game in the 2s at gisborne i dont think you have been down there as they are struggling to get a reserves team maybe that helped with his decision of a move. who really cares anyway. if he is not up to it he will be found out in a few more weeks.

You tell me I have no idea I'll be guided by your thoughts :thumbsu:

subkangas, please enough with the rubbish.

As i stated in a earlier post, i have nothing agaist the kangaroos, i just couldn't work out why someone would say that the reason House and Johnson left was because they wanted to play in flags.

Again, as stated earlier, they both left Rupo to play senior footy, something which if they had stayed would not have happened, they see the kangaroos as chance to continer to play senior footy, you tell me if the standared is as good ?, clearly not but good on them both, I hope all goes well and they both lead you blokes to play finals in 06

Bobby Johnson - Payed 8 -10 senior games last year, rest of the year in twos,
Jason King - big call rupo have atleast 5 small fowards before kingy would get a look in
Cameron Watson - Never seen him play senior footy, can't comment

Jackson Baddeley
Matthew Welsh
Robert Ellis
Daniel Ellery

I have never heard of these guys, who are they ?

They haven't played senior footy.

Grubby, great call, Chiefwiggam cop that !!

first of all sub_kangas you said

lies, buddy lies there is nothing more to the game than the final score, winning is everything, if it wasn't the case we wouldn't have scores and why would people even bother doing a pre season.

On House, whilst he might look quick and flashy with his white boots and his relative size for a wingman his disposal is second rate and he turns it over an inordinate amount of times. His courage at best is questionable and at worst resembles that of butter. As for his time a Ruperstwood he played 19 2's for the enitrety of 2004 and last year even though eligble for 19s played reserves (obviously an inferior standard due to the division the 19's at rupo play in) after crossing from Gisborne after what he claimed was a lack of opportunity. He never looked like playing a ones game and should he of stayed at rupo again this year the story would of been the same.

Jas King may of played ones at rupo some years again when in sections d3 and d4 but now rupo have moved up several divisions he would simply be a twos player constantly rotating on and of the bench with buckleys chance of getting a ones game.

finally just to highlight the differences in competition between rupo and sunbury curtis gilman crossed to rupo this year to play 19's, he was a star at sunbury kangas and so far at rupo he has seen little game time and during his time on the ground he has looked second rate and slow. There is at least a 13-14 19's that will be in line to play senior football before him

dont know where you got that info he played 18s last year and struggled to get a vote i think he went to rupo to play his age group he is not a hard player and knows he is not upto playing with the big boys that is not fact just assumption.

Doona your on the money because another fella from Romsey came into the Bendigo thread and accused him of being Nicholls and he went all defensive and tried to denied it. He wrote 3 or 4 messages on the topic to clear his name. Sounds a touch iffy to me???

Toad you can keep thinking i'm him all day, the fact is i'm not. Go back and take a good look at those threads, that picklesmeoldmate talks about mostly bendigo clubs. Why don't you contribute something worthwhile for a change rather than bagging everyone. You seem to know a bit about footy, why not put your knowledge to good rather than bad.

Ok TPP your on. I'll be informative from now on. But it seems a little weird that just as Nicholls leaves his job, (which covers The BFL) Picklesmeoldmate goes away. Then he gets a new job covering RDFL you bob up as a Big footy newbie in the RDFL thread. Anyway what were your thoughts on the first round of footy?

Nicholls always wrote on the RDFL at the Express, he gave it more coverage than the bloke he took over. But back on footy I thought round one was good. I thought Romsey were quite disappointing, and from what I have heard Woodend Hesket look to be the team to beat (apparantely they had a couple of handy players out). Looking at results and knowing a few Macedon players, they look to have improved but the test will come when they play Kilmore, who apparantely look much better. Lancefield will fade away quite badly from what i've heard and read. But round one results can mean nothing as the AFL season has proven. Didn't Gisborne lose in the first round of the BFL on Saturday? I would think they would still be premiership favourites though.

You seem to know what your talking about. Who were the better players of the competition last year?

Lee James was obviously the standout. Matt Robertson was under rated by many teams I think. Shaun Sims is an excellent player. Mick McCarthy is a good a backman as anyone in the comp. Some players i have thought to be over rated are: Col Gadsden, Sam Bowen, Daniel Carroll and Jeremy Collins.

What do you think toad?

Yeah Sims and James are quality players. Luke Carroll, Ben Talbot and Mick McCarthy all quality players.

Bit harsh on Dan Carroll, he was never highly rated. Spot on with the rest though I think. Bowen is a bit too flashy. It'll be interesting to see how he goes at the Bendigo Bombers

I was watching the sunbury kangaroos V rupo praci match i thourt the coaching staff was discrasful the coach shouldnt even be coaching under 12s and it has been bought to my attention that every age group one on the weekend exepct the under 18s it has to be the coaches fault
