I was let down by IQ, it cut out the recording @ 115th minute. Luckily, switched to ESPN and it was the 116th. :thumbsu: Did you watch it? Was a great game. Even if it was Chelski.

Also, 9/9 tipping, that just doesn't happen... concerned.
 
I forgot how much I enjoy us, or anyone else really, beating the Aints! Life feels so good at the moment, especially seeing all their whinging supporters crying. (Apologies to shibz mum, of course). :D
 
Since i'm not doing tipping this year and can't join in your reindeer games...

Just under 2300 again this week in Dream Team, I won all my games this week unlike last week

Have jumped 6000 places in the last 2 weeks and am on the verge of cracking the top 4000

So some technician coming to your house to plug a few cords in = free. But waiting a month for your iq box to arrive, you collecting it and plugging everything and using your phone to activate your foxtel = $150. Makes sense!
 
Received a text message saying my account was $180 overdue. I rang them and questioned, firstly because I haven't received a bill, nor have I had the bloody thing for more then a month, plus it seemed very high. Apparently self install kits = $150 yet not one person told me that!!

OTC and 360 taking aim at Melbourne now. The only place the ducking issue hasn't gone away is on Bigfooty.
Sylvia laughing with Kennedy after the siren must be hard to digest though.
 
I really have no idea what could be done to turn Melbourne around. I was confident that we could turn around quickly after our spoon year because we were stable off field, with the same coach and a strong core of senior players. I just can't see anything at Melbourne. They have a bunch of high draft picks, a lot of talent there... But nothing to turn it around ATM.
 
Basically reboot and start the rebuild from scratch. They also need to get in some senior players with good work ethics who can set an example for the younger kids to replace the likes of Green, Davey and Sylvia who offer jack in the way of leadership.

Oh man. Nearly had the most inappropriate thought and laugh of all time today. Of all time.


Was at a research methods meeting this afternoon. The facilitator asked x person what their research was on. Response was, "Domestic violence in such and such a community".

The facilitator asked what methods could you use to find out about domestic violence?


And I immediately thought, "you could try hitting her".

I nearly absolutely pissed myself laughing out of nowhere.

Im going straight to hell aren't I? :(

Tbh i think criticisms of Masten in his first year were reasonable, considering he played limited games and had limited impact (albeit to OP).
However, this year I certainly think he has shown a lot. He has been getting into the packs and at least putting in an effort which several of our older players have been lacking.
I don't think that Chris Masten is a protected species but I do think that he has endured more scrutiny than any of our other draft picks in recent years.
Granted he was taken at No.3, but that is hardly his fault.
And as for the comparisons between Jimmy Bartel and Masten? Look at Bartel for most of today - good second and third quarters but faded out of the game for the rest of the time. Masten, faded in and out of the game. Hell, even Judd in his Brownlow year faded in and out of games (but before I get criticised I am not comparing the two!!!!!!!)
Let's face it, we are making a judgement on a player who has, to this point of time, not even played a full season of football. We lost Chris Judd - we got Chris Masten and Josh Kennedy. Personally, I think for the longer benefit of the club in 5-6 years we might look back and see that as a pretty good trade.
