No, I don't think so. It raises the interesting question of rule changes and interpretations by the AFL - do other countries follow them or adopt a more common sense approach?

There have been many rule changes by the AFL that have not found their way into International Leagues, or for that matter the International Cup. The main rule changes haven't even found their way into the Amateur and Metro leagues in Melbourne such as not having to wait for the flags before playing on after a behind.

The rules that the AFL are currently tweaking are largly down to interpretation and with the generally inexperienced umpires in international leagues they will prove nearly impossible to put in place.

Maxwell has in fact has had his ban thrown out for what in my opinion was an absolute cracker of a bump!!
