Also Agree with Dave Morris being a Top player! Will be a star.

But way to inconsistent with skills and play, Blake was restricted last year to a back pocket remember that. an absoloute waste of talent. Dimboola if had any brains would run him through the guts

Pete & Dela are both very good players, but not the best in the comp. Clugston and Pekin are the two standouts IMO. Clugston has freakish ability and kicks a lot more goals when up forward than Weir. He kicked 9 from the midfield against Stawell in round 1 last year, evryone who saw that performance would agree that he's the best we have in WL. There's no chance Weir or Dela can turn a game better than he can. He has the occasional quiet one but his best is easily the better than anyone in the comp.

Pekin is one of the only leaders at Horsham, and he's tough to stop from having an impact. As a pure hard at it, consistent footballer, it doesn't get much better than him in the Wimmera League.

Lachie Exell & Phil Butsch not far behind.

Weir & Dela are very good players. but to say they are in the same boat as Clugston would be abit rich. yeah i love the way Pekin goes about his football, a real gun. and i was also a wittness to the Clugston Roos in round 1 last year! could not beleive my eyes.

Firstly I agree that the initial list was very good, all exceptionally good players.

I suppose I like Weir and Dela the best is because every game I've seen them play they perform and can win matches through thier own performances.

Pekin is equally as good and as importantly equally as consistent.

I can't disagree with any of the comments about Clugston. He is probably the most naturally talented player in the comp. I too saw the first round game last yr against Stawell when he kicked 9. Probably the best individual game I have seen in this comp. I have also seen a couple of games last year where he was quiet. Obviously if he plays all his games like he did in round 1 then he would be not only the best in this comp but one of the best this side of Melbourne

Maybe this year being in his second year in the comp he will be more consistent.

Scary thought for all non Dimmy fans!
 
The Round 1 clugston game was ridiculous no one should be able to kick 9 goals out of the midfeild.

but yeah Weir can turn a game there is no doubt abou that. but being up forward he has to rely on his team mates to get going aswell. this is were the players like pekin and obviously clugston make it happen them selves and turn it on. Yeah clugston is fitter and better again this year so look out haha
 
I see in the clearances that the saints have picked up 3-4 juniors from the district league. Is this part of their junior program? IMO, Ordinary effort on their behalf!!!
 
Dimboola had a hit out over the weekend at St arnaud!
Missing alot out of the side due to cricket and other commitments

Odd to see the score being kept! but it finished 162-21 Dimboolas Way.

St arnaud were very fast side! just butcher the ball!
 
word soaring around Horsham that Horsham demon coach (yes the coach) gave a younger Dimboola player a bit of a touch up out on the town in the early hours of sunday morning on the weekend with no retaliation. what a great role model for the young demons

Rumour has it Clinton Midgley of the burra's is set to retire due work commitments, unable to get to training regularly and not able to meet the lofty fitness standards he aims to achieve. The world of real estate is tough and sitting in cars is not helping Clinton as his glutes get so tight he can hardly move. The umpires have got wind of this and have tried to convince Clinton not retire, as they feel it will make them insignificant in burra games and will result in fifty less free kicks a game. Good luck in retirement Clinton. Your energy around the burra camp will be sorely missed.

He would've been home for his sisters 30th he is keen to qualify for finals and hoping it can spark the return of a few of his ex warrak and beyond mates including Luke & Simon Rosa, Brian Tepper, Marc Grieg, Shane Obree & maybe Drew Petrie if he finishes up his contract with kangaroos
 
Saints ran the Roos off their legs. Some new recruits added class & toughness to the Saints side. More than matched the Roos over the ball. Wouldn't have thought they would be underdone under Stewie Farr.

Only Got to see the second half of Saints Vs Roos, But by all reports the first half was not much different.
the saints looked very focused and fit! a big threat again this year. I wouldnt be saying the Dimboola Roos looked underdone.
They looked to have more of a shock to the system rather than fittness. It might put a few of the players down at dimboola into perspective a little more in that they are not untouchable. I Still think they are going to bounce back with very key players to press back into there side, they had core midfield In Rentsch, Seers & Mckinnon. Look out Burras is all I can say.

Warrack and Horsham was said to be a fast paced game! with the usual stars standing out In Pekin, Jarred Martin & Rhona conboy.
Jeremy clayton coming back for one game was interesting but also didnt pay off!.

I Think our top 5 is going to be very close this year!
 
Great game of footy last night. Haven't seen a lot of young Conboy from the Demons. More than matched Kelm one on one for strength. Can anyone give me a bit more info on the kid? How old? Not interested in the Rebels?

Rhona will be 17 in June. He is an awesome kid and is sporting the best mullet in the league!! Is interested in Rebels but was injured (foot) during the selection process. Pretty sure he is on their injury list and won't be long before he will be added to selection list.
