I'm impartial - I have no opinion on who you should and should not go after, but I have to say,

Surely you jest?

the guy will be 32 years old and is averaging 1.6 goals a game. stating that waite should be considered over butcher/harvey/shaw who are all averaging well over that in the sanfl this year as kids in a mans league cant be considered in jest... more like masochism.

Seemed to be a strong focus on our fwds .....OBrian , Grimmers , Lowden ,
Depending on if he re-signs or not Clurey for O'Brien would be win/win needs wise for both clubs, we haven't had one of those trades with you in recent times though so I doubt that'd happen lol.

I'd imagine you guys would love to keep all of these blokes but tall KPF's are not exactly your weak point haha. If opportunity came knocking for AFL footy 1 of them would surely take it?

I wouldn't want to do that, We should focus on developing our only SANFL KPD instead of trading him away.
Stevenson and O'Shea don't count as KPD'ers in my book.

All three have been solid this year but really need to get out from behind Ruff , Gunna , Hale and i guess Cegs and Big Boy .
Timmy O the youngest of the trio has progressed well , good hands on the lead and a very solid set shot .
Grimmers is an athletic freak .....fast , can jump and take a strong grab and run all day ......his goal kicking can be a little off at times but hes no Butcher either in that area .
Lowden is infact a 207 ruck/fwd who's had his strongest year thus far .

If we take one of those players the only honourable thing to do is let them go with your blessing then rip off a crows young player like you did Gunston. :D

This has a Heath/Stevenson feel about it. Both couldn't get opportunity at their clubs and came here cheaply.

All 3 show good promise I like O'Brien the most I feel he would cost the most.

Could see Lowden coming here as backup ruck/fwd on the main list. Would get a few games while Redden is still not 100% and Shaw and Harvey develop in the SANFL.

Grimley is ok too but I prefer the other 2.

O'brien has another year on his contract. Hawthorn won't trade him.

Lowden would be great back up if we don't get Lycett. He is out of contract and has only played one game in about seven years. He could play now and would be looking for opportunity (and a solid contract). He is one of those players who has a lot of positive attributes, does most things really well and throws in a few clangers to keep it real. If we don't get Lycett I want Lowden. (he would have very low trade value)

Lycett was mentioned in the cowvertiser today. However the only fact contained in the article by Rucci was that Lycett is coming out of contract and will not confirm or deny whether he will re-sign. He has said that he will make a decision when his contract ends which sometimes means a player wants to change clubs. But it also sometimes just means that he wants to make his team sweat so they will offer a better contract and WCE would be able to offer a second ruckman more than us.

Point 1 : Whatever we say on BF, the likely truth is Ken will not be as dependent on two rucks as WCE are.

Point 2 : Redden is going to be back next year, and although he may not be immediately in the team will be 2nd ruck. I can't see Lycett changing teams to be 3rd ruck.

Point 3 : There is no point 3, the first 2 compose a strong enough argument.
