The thought of Mitch Robinson in a Port Adelaide jumper depresses me. Nothing annoys me more as a footy fan than dumb footballers, and Mitch is one of the dumbest. The only role he can really play consistently well is defensive forward, and we already have Monfries for that. He's all yours, Camries.

We're effectively their feeder club these days.

So it makes sense.

At least you have Trigg :thumbsu:

He'll appease the "just kick it" brigade.

Hopefully Robinson stays at Carlton.

If not I hope he gets a huge $ deal at the crows just to hurt their depth (which barely exists) a little bit more.

The difference between Caleb Daniel and Kane Mitchell, is Daniel is extremely polished. Kid finishes with his eyes closed.

Wouldn't bother me if we took him.
Daniel was brilliant against Port.
I compare him to Sandilands... let me explain the long and the short of it all.
Like Sandi he will probably we overlooked early or rookied. Like the big fellar he can only really play one position - on-ball. But Daniel is elite at what he does best - finds and delivers.
The kid has rare awareness but clubs will still baulk on picking him.

Didn't see much of the game but from the little bit I did see Ben Griffiths from Richmond looked really good. Would like us to make a play for him. Could be a good addition to the forward line

he is richmonds daniel stewert

The same Ben griffiths that led the AFL for contested marks up until round 8 or so? He was also getting about 10 hit outs and a goal a game as a 22 year old pick 19 ruck/forward. He'd be getting a game every week for us at the moment. Granted I probably oversold him above but he's a low price solid stopgap option for a year or two while we hope others can come along. If you told me we had an option of Lycett or Griffiths and a first rounder I would much prefer the latter.

Would be nice if we could get both. Lycett for our first + second rounder swap, then West Coast's second rounder for Griffiths. Add Krak with a late pick and that's a damn good offseason haul to fill some holes in our list to have a big crack at a flag next year.

Agree with the first rounder + swap of second rounders for Lycett. I reckon that's about his worth - not good enough to command a first rounder on his own, but our second round pick is too low.

Gorringes game last night against the Saints was very solid. If he wants out he needs to be looked at before we make a call on who to chase. Would put the same offer to the Sun's.

Just browsing the Eagles board the issue with Lycett seems to be he's holding out for a four year deal? Their board doesn't mind doing it.

And seeing were all aboard the midget fleet, I'd like to use a late/rookie on caleb. Much the same as the Garlett theory. Could be a waste, but most are by that stage. Could be something spectacular. Risk it.

That'd be a pretty handy off season...

Oh and Luke Flynn as a cat B please.

if griffiths can not establish himself as a key forward in a side that is screaming out for key forwards why would we need to give a high 2nd round pick for him?

and to be honest , griffiths as depth wouldnt be bad , but i reckon one of shaw/butch will be pushing for a spot next year.

next year we will have far far better key position depth than richmond so why would griffiths be a chance for our 22? if we are paying for a depth player we should not be willing to part with anything more than a depth player price.
