This is the worst batting lineup I have seen for a decade
I imagine we'll be seeing Mackenzie Harvey and Jason Sangha in soon

We all want locals to succeed but are McInerney, Drew and Kelly up to it? Plus Lehmann*

*though the double century he's about to make here will likely save him

I think the first Drew and McInerney have been around long enough that we can make a judgement call

Probably Kelly too but there's not much else around.

Lehman triple ton?
Commentator just said the same thing..

Good performance so far today.
Hopefully Kelly can get a 100 here.

Whatever happens for the rest of the game the batting lineup needs a refresh with McSweeney, Carey and Head not available.

Hunt
Harvey
Sangha
 Lehmann
Kelly
Nielsen
Manenti
McAndrew
Johnson
Buckingham
Pope

Problem is, there's not much else.

Drew and McInerney have dominated grade cricket, as did Jake Brown before him.

Lehmann 100 and out.

Liam Scott needs to be playing, he's been a good contributor for us this season with bat and ball. I would have him ahead of Harvey or Sangha.

It's pretty hard to replace 3 first choice players, especially one you've never had to worry about being unavailable before the last month (McSweeney). Add in the injuries as well and it's really testing out the depth.

Sangha will be out injured for a while I'd suspect. Harvey hasn't really got the technique for FC cricket, I'd almost prefer JFM playing.. Buckingham also injured for a while, replace him with Conway who to be fair has been quite good thus far this summer.

Also need to get Liam Scott back in, not sure why he's out this game. And would be nice to see Johnson actually pick up a red ball at some stage.

Does Scott play ahead of one of the bowlers then (Johnson)? He's been very reliable with the ball this season and we've used him as first change a bit now.
I'd play him in front of Manenti, who can do the freakish and the horrible.... you just don't know what you're gonna see

Manenti has won us a a game this season with both bat and ball and is captaining this game, Scott isn't playing ahead of him. I have no issue if he just replaces Spencer Johnson, he's good enough to bowl 20-30 overs and extends our batting depth.

I get that, but how often do you get anything out of him ??

And yeah Spencer seems destined to be a white ball specialist for his career

Well, all of last season tbf, he was our most consistent player. A slow start to the season, but clearly turned the corner with that match winning performance against the Vics.

If there is an extra bad consequence of our loss, Jake Lehman gets an extend life in the redbacks side. :(
It's like watching Murphy have a dozen touches in a game

Coaches in raptures, player ensconced
