Actually, since the VFL went national, the sheffield shield has moved 3 days later whereas the footy has came forward 24 days........

It's game related. It's whoever gets the most 1st innings points in the final. The caveat is the game has to go for 270 overs. If it rains and it doesn't, then top wins the Shield. Shame we're never gonna get any rain

I think 40 degrees and above the lower grades are called off (this happened in LO5). Yesterday was 39 so games went ahead.

42 and above is for all grades getting called off

40 degrees and from B2 down gets called off

Interestingly SACA and some school competitions have started using the BOM app which gives you live temperature readings from where you're playing. Once it hits x degrees at your venue, the game is off.

I think that will be the way of the future
