I think HoneyBadger35 saw the post grand final melts so can provide some more info on that.

The 'parity' thread was their over confidence leading into the second derby of 2015 . They win that one and they would have gone level with us on derby wins, so they started a thread on it before the game naturally.

A lot of chest thumping and counting their chickens before they hatched already banking the win. It went spectacularly pear shaped in the first quarter when we kicked 7 goals to 1, then rode it out for a comfortable win in the end.

Lots of eggs on purple faces as the thread backfired on them. Freo mods ended up hiding it as Eagles fans kept bumping it.

Boy did I.

Left my job on Friday. Flight at midnight Fri/Sat. Landed in Melbourne at 6am, slept for a few hours then to the G for Grand Final. Sheed from the boundary needs to be inch perfect he is. Back to the hotel to take a breath before going out, check bigfooty.

MELTS.

Just loads of early crow, then hilariously a lot of the begrudging respect posts got deleted (stuff like yeah I hate them but that’s a fair comeback in Vic etc etc, got cut like a hot knife through butter). Keeping in mind this was the team that was very vocally “closer to a flag” because of a big preseason W.

The Port board’s 2018 GF thread was also an absolute superb example of the art, and I think is still available in close to its full glory.
