In a head to head battle Dusty is giving him a bath.

Big fan of the narrative that’s developing amongst media circle jerkers.

Both of those sides played their game style the same as they have been all season. This isn’t new. They’ve combined to be very accurate but this game, swapping a few set shots for behinds, would have happened amongst Brisbane or Richmond 15 times this season.

It’s been fun, an awesome game, but let’s not pretend both sides have come in with a philosophy shift and have decided that NOW they want to score goals.

Huge last 10 minutes from the Lions to end that quarter.

Richmond had them over a barrel early but the defence held firm. Evened up the ground ball wins and got three goals of their own.

Tigers were looking shaky going into half time there - crowd turned the momentum and they lost their discipline - arguably two of those three goals can be attributed to a lack of focus or restraint. That quarter ended at the wrong time for the Lions.


Not the first time also when under pressure Richmond revert to trying to rough-up opponents as a means to break momentum - has been refreshingly welcome so far to see the umpiring has been right on top of it and willing to call it out for what it is.
