The 3AW Commentary track on the 2003 Grand Final DVD is hilarious.

In the fourth quarter, with Brisbane clearly in an insurmountable lead, Rex spends half the time sticking his head out the window sledging Collingwood supporters with Clinton absolutely laughing his ass off.

I remember him doing something similar during an Essendon-West Coast final in the late 90's. Was hilarious listening to him bagging the hell out of the Eagles.

The funniest thing I ever heard from Rex was during the Geelong-Bulldogs qualifying final in 1995. The game was pretty much over at quarter time, and in the second half Rex was commentating while impersonating various Looney Tune characters. Don't know if that was where the "Yibbida Yibbida" originated from or not, but I was in hysterics listening to it.

Growing up in the country, the relayed 3AW call was always dialled in on the weekend.

Absolutely loved growing up listening to Rex. Remember as a young kid listening to him commentate Geelong games. Just loved listening to him call Ablett, I mean, Yablett .

Brought real passion to the call. I listen to him on MMM now and it's nowhere near the same. Get the feeling he doesnt watch football anymore and only watches the games he calls. Has no idea about the modern game and knows about 3 Nth Melbourne players.
