This young man who is a personal mate of mine will be a future adelaide captan. Unless of course he gets traded to a better team such as hmm... lets see... essendon watch out for him and dont go baggin him.

A Richie D thread not started by me :D. (Don't worry, I'm not launching off into a poem. Although I do intend to make one about him someday :p

Outstanding leader, outstanding talent. Leads by actions, strikes me as a quiet lad, but on the field he shows outstanding leadership qualities.

#1 fan right here.

Apparently he's actually a bit of a chirpy, lively lad.

Also one of the best sledgers in the team apparently.

Adelaide were actually lucky to get him. He was a very talented young cricketer i played with him and also against him. The day he was drafted by the crows he had to call the Bushrangers and cancel all of his training sessions that he had booked. If he wasnt drafted we would probably see him running around for the Bushrangers this coming season. And also last cricket season he came home to Broadford and played a game of B grade cricket and made 67 off 18 balls.

Have heard that he was a very good cricketer. However he was always going to get drafted.

Why would we want to trade him?

IMO he's a dead set 200 plus gamer for Adelaide. Once they start playing him permanently in the mid-field we'll get to see just hoe good this lad is.

You say he's a personal mate of yours. How's he coping with the shift to interstate and the different lifestyle here?

Ridiculous statement. He's played 10 odd games and from this he's played maybe 2 good games. Would like to see a game where he doesn't put a teammate under pressure and he doesn't lose his footing before I call him a future 200 gamer for the AFC.

Oh it's you Drummond.

The man that thinks that Meesen is the 2nd greatest thing since sliced bread.

Carry on. :)

Oh, don't worry about him, he's struggling to come to terms with the fact his perceived 134 game average at best, poor kicking ruckman is off the LTIL. How soon they forget eh ;)

He's in mourning you know? :)

either that or switch from Glenelg to Norwood which would instantly make him the best young prospect you`ve ever seen.

amazing how far into the future you can see when its Meesens potential, but no further than the first mistake when its someone else.

If we were going strictly on onfield performance I dont remember being too impressed with Goodwin or Edwards first couple of AFL games either. its called finding their feet. Douglas will be even better than Knights when he finds himself put into the middle

as late as last year people were questioning Reily, now he's essential and we suffer heavily when he's out.

ffs drummon give the kid some time in his natural position.

now kickin goals u migare exaggerating, i played cricket with dougo at ACK when he was yr above me he was a handy cricketer but far and i mean far from going anywhere near the bushrangers. i wouldnt read to much into a the B grade comp in the Seymour District Cricket Association. However i believe that Rich has all the assets to become a leadder of the AFC, but want him at Essendon also. But for you to say he was going to play cricket for vic is utter crud mate, he is nowhere the brett deledio standard n i have played against both and with richard for 2 seasons at ACK.

**** you talk shit, it's hard to believe you are too soft to drink alcohol, you seem ****ing plastered most of the time you are on here.

Saying Douglas is a future 200 gamer is ridiculous, yet you rub yourself constantly over Meesen, Pfeiffer and Campbell and crap on about how they are all superstars and will dominate the AFL for many years to come.

Douglas will end up being a very good player for AFC IMO.

Can't expect young players to dominate straight away, as they often struggle to come up to speed with the extra pace of AFL.

For this reason, I would like him to slot into defence, releasing either Johncock or McLeod up forward, to give us a crumber.

I have heard he has missed his family and friends but has enjoyed the move. He also told me that the family he was living with was just like his own back here and they made him feel right at home when he first moved in.
