Richie Tambling - to be B.O.G. against the Dees

What sort of message will picking Tambling send to the player group,I have backed Richie and he can still make the grade but needs to go back to Coburg for a while been gifted a lot of games.

I wouldn't drop tambling, thats the easy way out where he can go back to coburg pick up 25 cheapies and get a run in a few weeks. No stuff that, play him again on the main stage where the pressure is on, put the acid on him this week and tell him he needs to respond in the afl not the vfl.

To easy to drop him, make him get back out there again and see how he responds. If he has another shocker, he goes back to the 2's for a long time but keep him in the side at least for 1 more week.

hislop ... people need to make up their minds, one minute we want players who are hard will compete and win the footy, the next minute we want them dropped. these players need to be used correctly hislop shouldnt be on the end of link ups or getting handballed to in the defensive half, he should be under packs giving out to cotch lids etc. Hislop should play every week

hislop skills are woeful, and his disposal is terrible. he need to spend a month in coburg to brush up. reactions are a bit too slow to get into the packs and feed the ball out. he gets most of his possessions while playing wide with a bit of time and no one around.

All BOG for Bling against the dees will do, is give those that sit there sucking their thumbs hoping, an extended period of thumb sucking, using "that game" as their basis for persevering.
i.e. he will be another to add to the long distinguished list of tigers who gained AFL careers on the back of a game or 2.

You do have some very good players but hes not one. You should cut your losses and look to trade him at the end of the year. since he was a high pick someone will take a punt on him.

fine to play him in the backline as long as he doesn't have to be accountable for anyone, I reckon play him in the fwd line where he doesn't have the pressure of minding anyone, he can run, he's a good kick, throw him down there to bag a couple.
Can't believe king survived this week, thats an automatic 3-4 goals to the dees.

I bet he doesn't. Terry even backed him up due to his lack of sleep before the game. Tambling is a good player and he wasn't his typical efficient self against the Dogs. He doesn't turn it over much at all apart from last game. A bit like Lids in Round 1. Just a bad game where he was not right on the day.

Yeah totally agree cogga, yeh i loved rodan, i remember when he first got to the club me and dad went up and spoke to him, and i remember him saying ''hey guys im so glad you came up and spoke to me'' cause he was new, and i was shatterd when he left...as soon as he left i knew he was going to be good at port, and i thought well we didnt give him a chance, and i love watching him rip it up, as for ottens lol that basterd was my fav player till he left, no respect!
