what you started doing, i did this morning, had a real good look at the game.
His first quarter i agree with, kind of a surprise, but there in after that was back to his usual stuff, totally ineffective irrelevant game. Topped it off with a shot for goal from 40 that didnt even make the distance.
As for what you meant, i meant that if you watched the rest of the game you can add a 0 after the 15 = 150 on the list, but seeing as we dont have 150 on the list atm, better just mark it as a 0, full of nothingness.
FWIW, i am tipping he has spat the dummy and wants out, as for the hammy, would even go as far as to say its the hammy that keeps on giving the next excuse. I would have gone down with a hammy after i played such an inept game of footy in my 100th, and needed an excuse.
As for me, dont give a flying **** where he ends up as long as we dont waste anymore time on him. Saw enough from Dea and Vickery and of course a number 3 pick Martin who is only in his 4 game of his career and doesnt need shrinks, excuses or any of the shit because he has character and wont take any prisoners to succeed!!!!! FFS you could put that kid at FB on Sandilands and he would spill blood to beat his man.
And here we are 5 years later and 100 games later, trying to find a position to suit Bling.
There is one piece of play thats a classic. Actually 2 that you can compare.
1 is where martin thinks quick and soccers a goal out of nothing.
2 is where the ball is loose in the FL, Bling is running and leading to it, there is nothing between the ball and the goals, and all he has to do is soccer it towards them and we are a big chance to kick another one. What does he do? Tries to pick it up, and you guessed it, tackle, spill and JS. If he scrambled it towards the goals the only player who could have got there first was a tiger. Number 4 pick my arse..

I want to make my position very clear, I don't care if Tambling gets traded or stays at our club for 200 games, I take the approach that we must forget that he is not a top 4 pick even though last year when he played in defence and got out of TW's mentality and f@(ked game plan, he actually looked like an elite rebounding defender and probably our best user of the ball with 75% to 80% effeciency. What's fact is he has played 100 games in probably our worst era of development of players ever, we still continue to be disappointed with lids and he had won back to back b&f's but that's not his fault, again I blame his lack development but his last 2 weeks off half back he has looked as dangerous as u have Eva seen him, correct me if I'm wrong but it took Bartlel a few years even to debut and wen he did he looks dubious until he was developed, his time in the twos saw to that, we have not had that luxury with polo lids or Edwards & Tambling.

What's fact is Tambling had done one full pre season that was last year not an
excuse it's a fact, this year he began late after Xmas again a fact, and with our current game plan our players will get exausted and injuries will occur more of a chance to those who have had a lack of pre season. I will judge Tambling
after he is fit and injury free with another preseason under his belt with hardwick's coaching, if he gets traded he gets traded but I doubt we will get much for him, plus DH has stated that he is going no where and is firmly entrenched in his plans.
On Saturday night he played forward and guess what he played well when the ball was going up there & went missing when the ball was in our backline but our supporters want him to do things like kick goals etc wen the ball was not up in our forward line for over two quarters.

Please dont draw comparisons between Bling and Bartel No matter what stage of their career your trying to draw similarities.
I dont look at Bling as a pick 4, i look at him as being a lazy ordinary footballer

I wasn't comparing him to bartel I was comparing the clubs and there development operations ie. Rodan. If bartel was at Richmond he would of been crucified by our supporters. I somehow doubt Damian HArdwick would accept a lazy footballer that's ordinary. That's just blinded opinion, I really don't care what Tambling does next year I'm just glad our football department I'd now in order to now help develop our players to there best of there ability.

Mate youvmight of missed that point I was making because you are apparently so blinded by your own thoughts and apparent dislike for the Tambling. Surely as a true supporter you would want our club to succeed.

Let's see you said that you also don't see him as a pick 4 but as an ordinary lazy footballer.

I see a player that could become a good player in a really good side ( which I'm hoping we become ) say our bottom 4 in our best 22, that's what's sides are measured on.

Tim Fleming, Billy Nichols, Adam Thompson or Tom hislop.


Or better still Jake king 23 yo wen drafted with no experience playing country football.

If that's what our past coaches and do called developers of our kids were hoping for, it's not his fault he was drafted at pick 4, let's hope with our coaching staff that his next 100 games if it's with us is more than just a golf clap.

Tambling like so many before him - Raines (2006), Hughes (2008), Pettifer (2005/6), Hyde (2006) etc - runs the risk of stalling in his progress on a very good year in 2009. I too have watched him closely this year and whilst there are flashes of hardness and skill, in many contests he goes to ground way too easily. It's a real flaw in his game. At 23yo and 100 games to his credit he needs to stand up - literally - on a consistent basis.

There's nothing there. Sure, he has the occasional 20-possie game - the way footy is these days I could have occasional 20-possie days.

Facts are:

He's an average kick at best.
His much-vaunted pace is an illusion - maybe he's fast over 100m or in a circle - but he's not fast on a football field.
His defense is poor. He gets tackles because he arrives late to a contest.
His reading of the play is poor.
He's on OK overhead mark for his size - but when you're under 6 foot to start with, that's not much to hang your hat on.
He's never contributed any game-breaking play. He's just a hang-around the edges kind of guy - sure, he'll pick up a few kicks and goals here and there (maybe more in a better side), but his type are a dime a dozen.

For those of you saying 'treat him like a pick 50, it's not his fault he was picked at 4' - well, if he was pick 50 he would have been cut by now.

Even that kick to Nahas in the 1st quarter Over the top was poor, he had someone about 20 metres to Nahas' inside on his own, poor disposal, poor decision making, i just don't get why ppl continue to make excuses for him, "give him more time" "he's only 23"

FFS this is his 6TH season, he's played 100 games. This guy is just no good and Wallaby's previous post sums it up, if he was pick 50, he'd have been cut long ago.

Imagine how many StKilda duds of the past warm the cockles of Saint supporters when compared to Lovett.

For whatever reason at Richmond, he has not performed.

A trade would be good for both parties, maybe in a team like Geelong or St Kilda he would be able to harness his talent.

I wouldn't be able to handle the media going on and on and on like broken records about how good he was not playing for Richmond.

Because last year was his first FULL pre season since being at the Club and that Joke who got the sack (TW) out of his head and he instantly became a good player because he was following a simple game plan not the Crap the other bloke was coaching and had us "SPEWING UP", he has had two operations one on each calf this pre season, which is not an excuse its a fact and i think any leg operation can restrict any body's running ability in the off season, but our supporters refuse to accept that, i believe D.Hardwick is taking the cotton wool approach with him, similar to that of Cotchin, the Coaching staff have also acknowledged that he is not a MidFeilder at the moment and have him & Lids penciled in playing of half back when he gets to full fitness which might be after the half way mark.

Can we acknowledge that it is the fault of the Richmond Football Club where Richard Tambling is at, we are the Biggest Joke when it comes to Developing players on our list, i will decide on how much better he will get once he is fit and has this Current Coaching the opportunity to develop him.

This is a test for player and coaching staff and if he can fulfill most of his potenial then we can honestly say that we are on two winners, that is coaching and player, and a quicker than expected rise up the ladder, the last thing i want is a team like Sydney to get him and he becomes a top player. THEN we will Have Threads like TAMBLING A DISGRACE FOR TW"S ERA.
