With Richmond supposedly being the club with the biggest fan base it is bewildering that the AFL head honchos keep on scheduling the tiggers to play at Kardinia Park along with the other irrelevant minnows that have no choice in the matter.

But Lollingwood haven't played there in decades and don't look like they'll ever be returning. Very mystifying scheduling choices by AFL HQ if you ask me, can’t make any sense of it.

We usually go well at minnow oppo cheat grounds. AFL don't want the scats to be embarrassed at home every year like the Adelaide shittruck teams.

Not anymore ... lol
98.5k paid up members (we only listed our paid members unlike many clubs...hi Elmer)not bad for 2 wins and a spoon, Essendon cant crack 100k even when they make the finals...they did make the finals didn't they?

Lets also remember that Carlton and Collingwood only made 100k members after the need to buy the membership was removed, so by next year every club will have likely 100k members, AFL is a fantasy football league.

Geelong generally play cellar dwellers at Kardinia Park, teams that Geelong can comfortably beat even away from home. That explains why Richmond play at Kardinia Park and Lollingwood don't, given that Lollingwood rarely ever bottom out but Richmond has a rich tradition of being bottom feeders for many seasons on end.

Absolutely spot on.

Richmond won’t
We finished bottom and still have 98.5k paid members something Collingwood couldn't do when they were down the ladder, if we want we will have 100k members, Richmond still only lists paid members if we follow Collingwood and Carlton by listing give away memberships we will have 100k again, even Geelong have 90k members an increase of nearly 30% in 3 years since the AFL changed the criteria.

There are still only 2 clubs to ever have had 100k paid members, and Collingwood isn't one of them.

Fortunately we also have a rich tradition of smashing Geelong in finals and winning flags when were not on the bottom.

I think you will start to see all clubs rotating through the Corio shit pit in the future now that it holds 40k, they will need big clubs there as we know from experience that the Cats cant fill it themselves.

After spending decades at the bottom of the ladder and being rewarded for that mediocrity by been handed top tier talent out of pity, of course clubs like Bitchmond eventually build a team that can win flags for a few years as it happened recently.

Geelong on the other hand are a well run club that rarely spends time being cellar dwellers so they're denied the best players in the country year in year out.

Since Geelong consistently finish in the Top 8 and play finals it's no surprise that occasionally Geelong teams, that are built by astute draft pick and player trades, are not going to be quite as good as teams that are assembled with the best players in the land.

Geelong biggest sin I guess is not being a mediocre run club like Bitchmond and avoid losing finals by languishing for decades at the bottom of the ladder.

It's the only reason Richmond has avoided losing finals regularly, as they're only ever in finals for a few years when they finally put together a flag contender by using multiple top draft picks. Then they go back to being cannon fodder for the rest of the competition as they are now.

Thankfully you have a rich history of not making finals and always being on the bottom 😇
