From the winning ratio the Tigers had early in the season they have wasted a golden chance to qualify for finals by losing something like 9 of their last 11 games and crumbling into a heap. The blowtorch hasn't really been applied by the media because the Tigers have improved on last seasons dismal efforts and other sides have had worse slides.

Missing the top 8 from the spot they were in is shocking and all at Tigerland should be disgusted with themselves. All the Tigers have done is played above themselves under a new coach, missed priority picks for next season, taken an overrated player like Tambling last draft and now only have themselves to blame for not being finals participants.Richmond have too many passengers and will never reach the finals until Wallace improves the list and doesn't just play the reactional quick fix game each weekend.

Considering the Tigers have improved significantly on their 2004 Wooden Spoon, I think this comment is rather unreasonable. Remember they have a guy called Nathan Brown who goes alright, plus a very good coach in Terry Wallace. I would be surprised if Richmond doesn't compete in September within the next two seasons.

Youre a fool, the tigers have won one less game than the bulldogs who have had two years of priority picks. Dont get too caught up in your dillusional concerns about losing Browny.

Our dear old bulldog mike. You seem to forget where we finished last year and how we've won 5 more games so far in 2005. It's easy for you to sit on your high horse and make ridiculous comments about a club that only won 4 games last year and was a basket case on and off the field. In 05, there will be a 2.2million dollar turnaround in finances and finishing mid table with an almost identical senior playing list to last year. Missing the 8 is surely disappointing but hardly shocking. All at punt road would have taken 9 to 10 wins without flinching before the season. As for calling Tambling overrated, you seem to easily forget how schyte cooney was in his first year and people like you were wondering whether the club had made a terrible mistake. The kid has had a bad run with injuries and needs to add some bulk to his frame over the preseason. For those who have met Richie like I have, they can vouch how well this kids head is screwed on and how he shows maturity beyond his years.

You see, you obviously dont read enough reports to be well educated on the happenings at punt road. So until you are I suggest you shut the hell up.

I don't think Mikey has ever been known for paying attention to his own team. :)

He does seem to have switched focus from Adelaide to Richmond, though - I'm surprised he's bothering, after the way he made a complete idiot of himself over Adelaide.

Come to think of it, this is good news for Richmond :p

Richmond would still be in the 8 if they had a decent coach who didnt always try to win by 10 goals every game. When out of form, close the game down to a dour struggle, and you'll get away with 50% win/loss.

Sydney have proven that concept this year. Dreadfully out of form at the start of the year, so they played defensive footy which saw them win more than they deserved, and laid a base to get to top 4 when form returned.

Are you crazy? Terry Wallace is a great coach. If you remember correctly, he was the one who initiated the flood so effectively. I am thinking back to the round 21 match in 2000 when the Bulldogs handed the Bombers their only defeat of the season.

In a sense being 7-2 and set to miss the finals is a big disspaointment. However this year was about more than just win loss for Richmond as an AFL club.

Wallace trimmed alot of players of the list, and added a few. Remebering that the Tigers don't have a qoute unqoute winning culture down there. It was important to get a few wins on the board both for us the supporters and for the players.

More senior players will be delisted and trades will be sought with the next 3-4 years in mind.

Also off the field the club has turned the finaces around and board seems to not be at each others throat like years gone by.

I don't think Richmond will have imediate success and if they do it will most likely be sort lived. However even if Wallace does not gives us a flag or a few finals apperances what he has done is begin to chip away at the things that have plagued the club for so long.

Most Richmond supporters enthusiams stems from the fact that finally the club seems to moving forward rather than self imploding like the last two decades.

Cooney struggled the first half of last season but started to show the goods late in the year. And this year has improved in leaps and bounds.

That's why he went from get a kick Cooney to the more affectionate COON DOG!

My family are Bulldogs members and I find myself attending a few of there games as well.

1 bad game by tambo and they are on his back give him a chance ffs bulldogmike get a life u fool why dont you go barrack for your team as theyy are only one win ahead of us instead of worrying about other teams

FAR K OFF ******** HEad

Truth hurts doesn't it.

If Adelaide missed the grand final and went out in straight sets in the finals, would that be a successful year for them considering they finished 12th last year? No.

The Tigers should have at the very least, made the finals, I think Browny was talking top 4 after they were 7-2. No matter how crap you were last year, you need to consolidate a position like that, and you showed that you weren't crap. Port were good last year, but are crap this year. Things don't stay the same in football. Richmond fans are accepting mediocrity, like they always do.

By the way, the other excuse I hear apart from the 2004 spoon one, is "But we miss browny". You can't be a one man team I'm afraid, no matter how good that player is. And anyway, in that match weren't the Tigers getting flogged before Brown injured his leg?

Yet if we were crying for blood and not prepared to go through a rebuilding stage you would be calling us ferals.

It is pretty apparent that most people on this site couldn't give a stuff about talking footy, all they want to do is keep churning out repetitive uneducated crap to try and stir opposition supporters.

The main board is pretty sad and boring these days
