Looked the same in.2017 only to fall at last hurdle. Also finals usually disturbs the Vfl team as they become second priority to 1sts with players held back. Hopefully we close well this year

Great first up game by Pickett he’s super clean below the knees and has that extra time that all good players do. Really elevates himself in marking contests too - great vertical leap
Nice return by Ross looked rusty early but got into the game with some good clearance work in the guts. Saw him at the 3/4 time huddle (with jumper on) and he looked to be moving fine.

Turner played a full game and spent some time in the guts as well as on the wing and won contested ball. Really solid in the air too. Stood under the pack a couple of times and took good grabs

CJ - love this guy is going to be a real player. Ruck/ forward excellent on the ground, another solid performance

Balta played everywhere even as a midfielder in the last and did some amazing stuff as well as making some mistakes. He moves like a midfielder and could end up playing numerous roles

RCD was excellent today hit the packs hard it’s probably as good as I’ve seen him play

Nank - ready to go typical Nank game looks in great nick

Yep didn’t go for too much I thought. I would describe his game today as playing within himself is the simple things well and didn’t try to be flashy - wasn’t blowing hard and seemed fresh at the huddles.

Nah he would’ve played more than that - reckon Nank spent more time on the bench

Great write up, agree with all. Just one thing I could’ve sworn Turner had zero touches at qtr time and can’t recall seeing him on the ground before qtr time. Bit of a machine in the way he accumulated and keeps running. Most impressive given its he’s first gallop from a broken leg
