Ever since all our assistants left we have lost our dna. No small forwards left. Higgens butler stengle all better than what we have left.

No one wanted Butler anywhere near the team, now he’s better than everyone we have?

Well Towner is our homecoming hero this Sunday. I'd put him right near the GWS players race before they run out with instructions to take out a couple of their midfielders like he did on Brad Crouch in the 2017 GF....🤩

Inspired selection - Rioli Junior.
As I am led to believe, re his lack of involvement at VFL level, he'll be an outstanding 'guarder of space', which is the trait we value above all others.
Can never have enough space guards.
I really don’t understand how he’s picked before Stack

Would love to see MR jnr play some midfield in the Vfl over the next couple of seasons, as he will be wasted in the forward line. Especially if the weekend results were anything to go by. He needs to develop the engine to run out games, as he has the x-factor & a strong tackler. Its the perfect time, with us lacking the midfield depth now.

I lol'd at this.
Then felt sad at the degree of truth.

I'm hoping he's been brought in because our once famous pressure has been non existent since 2020. We need some of it back. A goal or two from pressure would be nice too.

And please tell me why there needs to be a cliff? I can understand having a down year like last year, but why must we fall completely and be bad for the next 10 years forcing a rebuild? The truth is, rebuilds don't always work. It has only worked a small handfull of times. Carlton have had what, 4 rebuilds in the last 15 years?

People have been saying that Geelong will fall every year, it never happens. Sydney and PA have been up a long time. Teams can bounce back extremely quickly. Just look at West Coast(a few years ago).

Just because we won 3 flags, doesn't mean we should accept to be bad for a while. I'm really glad you're not in the senior leadership team at Richmond.
Sydney had 2-3 down years, they have bounced back but it helps when you can rort the draft every year.

seeing Ross named in the midfield and Parker included in the squad makes me feel like watching replays of the mid 2000 tigers. Yuck

All you campaigners saying RCD must come in, or saying not being selected this week means not up to it.

It was stated he was still recovering from broken ribs and Covid and is still building match fitness again. That was a week ago.
But let's all name him in our sides as an in, or be ranting when he's not named.
Froth away about Aarts, but not RCD (yet!).
Ross named onball - good news if he plays there.
Better Dusty named -hopefully good to go and gets plenty of supply if he spends a good chunk forward.
Graham can't be worse than last week and Cotch to rebound.
Looking forward to it.

Just dawned on me we could go from having the best midfield in the comp to the worst within the space of 2 years , crazy how the footy world changes quickly.

His not up to it RCD ? So Parker , Aarts and George are , we watching the same players even with his lack of running games out his a better option.Players who don't perform should be dropped no matter what.

I'm okay with the Parker selection. we had 1 tackle in our forward 50 last week (to 14). One thing about Parker is that he is tough, mean and fast. So he will bring the heat. Can get the ball as well and although kicking is his weakness, it is no worse than a few of others.

Stack, RCD and even Cumberland maybe might have been told that they won't be selected until they have a solid month of footy under their belt. Nor should they. Hiding to nothing bringing them in until they are match fit and in form.

I hope Dow plays because although he seems a fair way off in terms of consistency, he hits the contests hard and at speed.
