Hey Guys,

Did anyone purchase one of these awesome prints? It's my first piece of sporting memorabilia that Ive forked a decent amount of money over for. Looks very impressive. Can't wait till it arrives.

The club just rang, they said it will be ready in about 3 weeks. I got #67.

Was just about to make a thread on this.

I just got a call to confirm I was happy with my number. Earliest number I could get was #119.

Don't care what number I've got. Just happy to have one.

Will go nicely with my other RFC Memorabilia. :D

I have a cool David Honybun one. He's lying down in the back of Benny Gale's car being driven to Kardinia Park Round 3 in 1991.
It's signed by a few players who played that day, Terry Keays, Brad Gwliliam, Robert Walker, Benny Gale and Honybun. Gonna get The Flea to sign it at the next Social Club Function and then get Rick Milne to value it. Can't wait!

If I had the cash it would certainly be my first piece of memorabilia too.

Really nicely drawn, you have got yourself a bargin Darcy :thumbsu::)

hmm $595 X 282 = $167 790.

Richo - earnimg the tigers heaps even in retirement. :thumbsu:

LOL...So true. :thumbsu:

Did the original painting's profits go to charity?

I'd say it would of just been bumped off the news feed by new stories

Yeah think you are right as I just checked the site properly and still find the page where they were selling them.

But going by the phone conversation I had with the guy that rang me to confirm my order they aren't doing too bad.

He said the earliest number he could give me was #119.

So they are traveling alright considering they went on sale late last week I think it was.

Just announced on the news here that he is to elevated to 'legend' status in the Tasmanian Football hall of fame next month.

Another fitting tribute for a great player :thumbsu:

Managed to secure number 142 which will go great with my signed Richo Team of the Century jumper which I should be picking up shortly as well.

Im guessing that's the painting in Mad4Monaros avatar.

I prefer the one where he is walking away from the 'viewer', does anyone know where I could get a print of that one?

This is it...

I think this image grabs me because it en-captures much of his career as a lone hand for the tigers(not true I know but..), also as I saw it after he retired and it expressed the feelings I felt as he retired. That is a profound sadness, which I think this painting reflects.

The crowd are fading away, while a champion walks away from the game with less than he deserved(professionally), as a man he did it all, as a Tiger he did even more than a mere man.

Contact the Age newspaper as they were running a competition to win the painting a while back, they might be able to help you.

I managed to get #26. Would have been happier with 12 or 1 but it will do! Will go well with the team of the century pic, royce hart pic and legends pic all by the same artist.
