The Western Bulldogs have had a shit culture for a very long time, that relies on celebrating a chosen few and staying very stagnant to keep it that way. Players overthrowing coaches, everyone having these 'us or them' ultimatums at board, coaching, and playing levels... the joint is rotten and has been for quite a while. The fact they got a bunch of very average players to have the form of their life all at the same time is a great feat and Bevo has a lot to be proud of... he just used momentum, belief, and hype to their advantage and they absolutely just played for each other and their fans. Good on em. But the club? ****in cactus.

Also very very loose leashes on quite a few Dogs. Many of them are trash footballers but won a flag and get to do and take whatever they want because of it. Odd.

He was certainly a problem. I daresay we'd still be 0-2 with a shit percentage with or without Stringer at the club. Quite aside from his off-field issues (the gambling much more so than the rooting around), he has provided only small snippets of on-field output since his stellar AA year in 2015. How long then do you carry someone on big coin who has undeniable talent but is clearly regressing year after year? No right or wrong answer to that question.

The way we've played the last fortnight in isolation can happen, however if the complete and utter lack of intensity and the glaringly obvious disconnect between players and coaches continues for another month or two, common sense would then dictate there is clearly a communication problem between the players and the coaching group. Then one of two things will happen - a large group of the players not invested will be jettisoned off, or there will be casualties in the coaching group (senior coach or more likely a wholesale shake-up of assistants).
