Get stuffed, the biggest hits came from players standing their ground, if anything they were dirtier bullying the smaller players out of rebounds haha. These guys wouldn't last 5 minutes in 90's basketball and prior if they thought that was dirty.

The Us basketballers just expect teams to be so much in awe of them that they can just waltz through games with the opposition clapping them through.

As soon as a team goes in hard and takes it up to them they sook about "rough tactics".....

Still hesitant to put any sort of expectations on a medal, but through 3 games they've shown that they are clearly the 2nd best team.

Argentina, Spain, Lithuania will be slogs, but we're definitely not going to be over-matched in any game bar the US.

Spain is 0-2 by the looks of things we will play Croatia or Brazil to make the medal rounds.
 
Just going off of the Spain v Brazil game, I think we're a far better side than both of them. Brazil were really struggling on offense a lot of the time (seems like they need Barbosa to fire or they're in trouble) and wouldn't have won had Spain been able to put together more than a couple of good minutes here and there, but outside of Pau and the odd flash from Rodriguez and Llull, they looked old, slow and broken.

Japan played really well but we looked to be playing pretty dumb

In the last quarter they tightened up defensively and kept feeding Cambage inside and she took full advantage of her size. Ended up with 37 points for the match

Yep I'd go with 3 guards in the backcourt, as long as Simmons adds a decent mid-range jumper over the next 4 years. Unless Maker puts on 30kg, I think the physicality of the international game will find him out.

Delly, Mills, Exum, Simmons, Baynes.
 
Geez the girls struggled all night to beat the Japanese team. Cambage was the difference in the end. Cambage + a Lauren Jackson 2010-12 version would make us a really big chance. Like the men we need plenty of big bastards to win gold.

Rampaging Roy Slaven picked up on this and the toughness of a big bastard like Bogut. From the opening couple of minutes of Roy and HG's first The Madi Gras of Medals show on Monday got it right when he said
