Rumors....... At the moment. But for the record, we approached no one, they approached us. But big Trav Irvine still fires one in to the league. But it was ok for the Crows to contact several of ours a couple of years ago, with no letter of intent.

doesnt sound like travis and the crows!.. :D
be good for the eagles to get few new faces around, how are they shaping up? look like improving or be in the battle for the 1st team relegated?
will these new players do any good if the rumors turn to fact?

good 2 c tigers finally signed up a coach or 2. any one know if there is any truth to the story in the da about being close to signing fisher from st kilda or was that just tigers and the da beating up a story. Big diff. from being close to signing someone up and letting them know there is a position available. would've made a handy pick up though.

RIVERINA Football League's coaching jigsaw is complete after Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes (MCUE) announced Chris Willis as its new senior coach yesterday.

Cant help wondering how much damage to our Leagues reputation has been done by NSWAFL last year with their interference in our RFL which I believe was just starting to climb the standard ladder. Seems to me more than a coincidence that clubs are really struggling to recruit and retain quality players as well as coaches after the NSWAFL made us the laughing stock of the Country AFL world in 2009. West Sydneys desire to drain our talent in the next few years is really going to test footys resilience in this area in the next few years:confused:

If the new west sydney afl side wants to give players from the riverina a go in the afl, how is that a bad thing?

Great for those kids who are genuine contenders at AFL level (less than 1% of the Riverinas talent pool), not so great for clubs trying to retain good country footballers. Give me a list of all our regions players on Western Sydneys possible probables, And I will bet you 99% of them want be playing for their juniour club in 3 years time. I am not against the formation of another NSW AFL team, infact I think it is a necessity, I just think that Riverina Footy needs alot of propping up if our controllers think that our region can support AFL's latest expansion ideas. My biggest fear is that we are just taken for granted, while they pour money into Sydney.
