It is a very very good competition, one of the very best in SA at country level.
Better teams are probbaly Waikerie, Loxton and Loxton North but with heavy recruting it changes a lot from year to year.
Better players ummm Shane Clonan, Damian Stevens, Matt Schutz, Scott Lewis(back to SANFL in 2007) and plenty of other guns but i dont have time to go through the names.
And pretty much everyone is looking for players with Waikerie and the 'million dollar' Magpies leading the way in that deparment.

Darren Dean new coach of Waikerie. The club approached Daniel Hargraeves and Magic McLean (reportedly) but neither were interested.

Brad Wilksch is a fat tub of sh8t. Plays off half forward and does as little as possible. Kicks the ball a long way but thats about his only upside.

Another competition where local footy is being destroyed by money.
Some would argue that the money is saving clubs but they refuse to accept that these high paid players are keeping scrubbers out of a game and thus they are lost to football and what was the culture of country football.
Waikerie v Loxton. It use to give a town bragging rights but now it means jack because of the number of imports.

The league is run by tossers. Just about everyone at the Waikerie F.C nowdays are idiots out for themselves and their own egos.
After the debacle of last year with their payed players, Barmera are going with locals only. Unfortunately the way footy is now (payed players) this means they will struggle against most teams bar Berri or Renmark. But atleast the kids will be playing A grade now and getting experience for the future and will not be behind money hungry fickle payed players!

Not that i play for Waikerie anymore but when was the last time your bunch of silver spoon wan*ers beat Waikerie? And more to the point we have played finals atleast 6 years in a row, cant say the same for your slime.
