Have we ever won a game with two rucks, with neither of them able to play forward? Strange selections

I really like the changes. Think Phillips was too good last week to leave out and he'll jump all over them. Lot of people on this board think they know more than Bolts but Harry is clearly not playing for a reason. Happy to back Bolts in.

I've got no issue with Phillips playing, he was good. I've got no issue with Harry not playing, there are legitimate reasons.
I am livid that we have picked Kreuzer AND Phillips in the same team. It is insane.

Reduce rotations works in the favour of smaller running players and players with great endurance.

Talls who can't cover the ground will become obsolete. They already are even now.
I don't think so. The mids rotate more than the talls. The more open the game the more dangerous the talls become.

Will be interesting to see how our younger players go against theirs. There could be a few match ups and duals that will continue for the next decade on display Saturday.

Few weeks back I said I thought we were better off getting lots of numbers around the footy and playing a really defensive brand of football. I thought at least that way we’d stay in the contest not let the opposition play the game on their terms.

But after last week where I felt like at times we definitely moved the ball with a bit more urgency I thought we genuinely gave Port some troubles. And obviously, moving the ball on quicker, running and carrying is a lot better to watch than the chip it round style that we’ve become known for.

Christ people are missing the forest for the trees on Harry.

All of the murmurs about him are attitude/defensive effort. He hardly tore the VFL apart last week.

He needs to understand, work towards and meet the targets set for him.

Pining for him, when he isn't meeting targets, is asking for special treatment.

He needs to meet the standards his teammates meet. We are building a team not developing individuals.

Then how about the club be honest and tell us what those targets are.

All Andy McKay said when asked during the week was "oh he needs to work on his craft. He is in thr reserves to develop...blah blah blah"

Just say straight out... "he is not currently doing what is asked of him or required for senior selection"

Cos the "development" reason I said wearing thin. Everyone else is given the opportunity to develop in the ones.

Way behind in the thread, just saw the teams.

I'm happy they've persisted with Polson. He was taking the game on last week. To drop him would have killed his confidence.

I want to see him run through the guts again and again because it's been such a rare sight for us.

Not winning many with Casboult playing forward either, a wheelie bin may have provided a better target last week...
Came back from broken ribs too early, then played with a broken finger, lack of options.
