I've done a quick search and am bemused by the fact that Russell Robertson the tool has not got a serve here for his unbelievable attempt at the national anthem ... Actually i'm surprised the Prime Minister hasn't come out already and attacked the tosser for what he did during that 2 mins i'll never get back.

And regardless what he did to the anthem, is this guy actually supposed to be able to sing ??

What half-whit put him up to it anyway ? Was it channel 9 ?

the night was about fun and looking after the whitten foundation, so if you want a serious game and the proper anthem wait till your team plays in a grandfinal sometime after 2020

i thought it was quite cool actually, and very different, instead of the usual, mundane and repetitive way its nornally sung !

Just build a bridge and get over it ... No big deal !

Absolutely, only people who have had professional training should be patriotic enough to belt out the national anthem. Anything off key should be classed as treason.

Let's not stop there though .... I went to my daughter's school parade the other day and they had the gall to sing the national anthem. Oh my god, some of those kids should be made to do a Milli Vanilli for allowing sound to escape their lips. Bring back the cane and detentions all round.

HOWEVER we also should let him know he aint any good and if he thinks he has talent to be a great singer/songwriter he either better improve real quick or no chance.

I agree with the original poster.........

I actually reckon he's a relatively OK singer - but it was a terrible effort.

What is it with these musicians (I'll include Robbo here for the purposes of this argument) - that try to "rock up" the anthem when they sing it......just freakin sing it......we don't need any instrumental versions.

I'm not sure which was worse.....the 1993 Grand Final version or Robbo's version.........
