robert walls is an absolute twat.. i been saying it for years now.. never heard him say one good thing about adelaide on that stupid 'on the couch' show.. (and there is some good things to say about adelaide!).. every time they talk about the crows it only last about 20 seconds.. we'll see if he commentates this weeks match between hawthorn and adelaide.. although ill be at the pub with the sound off, so lucky me

I first met Robert Walls at Primary School in the late 70’s; he was the opposition coach/ PE teacher for East Coburg. I recall thinking he was somewhat of a tough mentor with his kids back then as attempted to lay down the law for competitive team sports.

I too have sensed the bias in his commentating when it comes to the Hawks. But I don’t think much of it as I enjoy watching the Hawks 2008 model dispel every crummy, adverse opinion of our team. I do however have more time for him than I do Tony Shaw. Now this is a guy who is seriously in breach of not performing his duties at his place of work.

I would give Robert Walls some leniency as he recently lost his partner of many years and this may be grinding at him more than we think.

I believe he lost his wife recently and went straight back to work. Got to give him credit here at least, imagine losing your life partner and then having to front up to tv all the time and be chirpy. When there's no footy he must be pretty broken man.. We're all human in the end..
