Following that logic, you'd extrapolate that a bloke who has coached as long as Eade and hasn't won a flag can't be any great shakes in that department.

Agree to a point, but I think the players need to take more responsibility for that.

Every team takes injured players into games (even finals), some players injuries are more high profile than others. Agreed that Johnno shouldn't have played earlier in the season, and given more time to get his achiles right.

Who made their debut for the Bulldog's against the Swans? I think you're probably underestimating the young talent we've blooded this year and while I agree an error was made playing Hahn, Eagleton and Aker in the same side as Johnno early on in the year we've got plenty to look forward to on the back of getting games into the likes of Jones, Grant, Roughead and Wood. But I'm sure you're well across our list and the games we've managed to put into these types anyway.

Yep, that's unlike every other coach out there. Malthouse et al must be average to terrible coaches as well if telling the truth at press conferences is a key performance indicator.

If you look at the deficiencies our list has had over the last few years, I think you should focus on giving Eade credit for getting it to perform at a constant high standard. This year we've let ourselves down and a couple of other teams have overtaken us, but only a buffoon couldn't recognise that Eade has some very good qualities as a coach.

8, His only success ever was coaching a North seconds flag.
9, Despite being given his start in coaching at North, and having enjoyed the only success of his career at Arden St, he showed a complete lack of grace and honesty in lying about our players earlier this year.

P.S. Are you sure it was NM seconds that Eade coached to a reserves premiership?

i would "expect" to win any prelims my side made,list deficiencies=eades responsibility ultimately,one thing eade is "good" at is playing his very best side in the NAB cup when every other side are trying their new recruits,that is why his teams always get off to a good start early in the season,when the pressure is not so great,but start to get found out later in the year at the business end of the season,imo will never be a premiership coach,the game has superceded him.
So in each of the preliminary finals we've played in over the last few years you've picked the Bulldogs? Wait, let me guess, you would have tipped the Bulldogs had they had another coach...........

Turns out that's true. Eade certainly coached our twos and won a flag with them.
Just because a woefully ill-informed BF poster says something 500+ times, doesn't mean there is any basis of fact in the statement. Understandable mistake to assume so, seeing as it was deliberately posted in a thread on the main forum as some sort of cry for attention, and not in the bay where it would have died a quick death without being noticed by anyone.

He did coach the 91 Bears seconds flag. He also coached North seconds to a flag in the 90s.

Some North fans certainly lack that self-depricating humour that us hearty Dogs supporters have in spades - you don't see any Sydney fans cracking wise about their 4 premierships over the likes of St Kilda and the Bulldogs. But these North fans seem to think that 4 is some sort of mythical number that gives them the rite of passage to spew forth vitriol in our general direction. Is there really a 7 page thread on the North board about little old us and our finals campaign? Why in god's name would they give a shit? Meh, it's their board they can talk about anything they want, but that is seriously disturbing.
The whole 'nobody takes any notice of us' line becomes something of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Some of them feel so utterly irrelevent that they actually resort to spending their entire time on BF infiltrating and hijacking non-North related threads (usually about fellow struggling clubs), for the purpose of destroying any opportunity for rational and reasoned debate (this thread being a case in point). Mods have let the standards slip on the main board by setting the bar at the gutter - there is already a designated place for the riff raff of BF to congregate, to leave the rest of us in peace on the main board to actually discuss football related matters.
