And to think I though for weeks that there was some way of moving players around the ruck that I didnt know about. Funny I have defeated most of them without knowing there cheating ways ;)

Hehe....yeah, I've done that before. Sometimes I hadn't figured out they had two players til a couple of minutes into the game.
While it's unfortunate....it's not really cheating. It's just two blokes wanting to have a game together. As I said....it'll be much better when the patch comes out.

I suppose your right, but I didn't even know you could play 2 player online. I think once the patch goes through it will die off even more I think I see this happen once every week so there must be few to none on there. All of them have high xp so they are obviously doing it to make it easier on themselves to win. As I said them guys were piss poor.

Pretty sure that the star level comes up when the teams are selected. A custom team will be 2 stars max.

1) blocking the man on the mark
2) running through the goal and behind posts to tackle an opposition player taking the kick in

People are free to bump, spoil, waste time, punch the ball out of the ruck and kick the ball along the boundary as much as they want.

One slight thing is that the game does not penalise you if you hit the ball out of the ruck on the full out of bounds. Whilst people use this as a tactic to run down the clock, I'm not overly critical because often you will have players standing on the boundary line and the ruck punch is ridiculously overpowered.

I read that hitting the ball out on the full will be correctly penalised in the upcoming patch. Hopefully that is accompanied by a nerfing of the ruck punch.

Well its illegal to bump off the ball in real life. In fact its the constant bumping which annoys me the most in this game, even more than the set shot blocking (but I hardly ever take set shots so yeah..)

I mean seriously, when someone starts bumping you 10 metres away from the ball its just like... "are you kidding???"
 
How do I take my custom team online? The team is rated 2 stars and below $7M but I can't find the option to toggle from AFL sides to play as my custom team.

I also played crowdog4 last night but it was a 3 player team when i played them.

Still managed to beat them by 6 points

When i come up against a custom team i normally play as Fremantle to give myself some chance

It could of been a 3 player team, I just always notice the man running around the run and know I'm in for a crap match.

same here, pretty sure it was 2 on 1, and due to my desire to not quit any game but can be quite painful at times with these blights on the online community

PSN: Kilders-killed u - 2 on 1, custom side "rainy days storm" Ablett, Harvey, franklin etc, plus stats upgraded, plus all the cheat tactics, getting to the point that i wont play online until the patch comes out because all my stats are screwed thanks to these pathetic people (including quitters)

Still won by 5 goals (after he quit in the last quarter), but this was the most blatant example of rogue custom side making. The monster ruckman who could hit it a few metres further than AFL ruckman, speedy midfielders who could kick it 65-70 metres every time, etc.:thumbsdown:

Finding a lot more custom teams online...
 
i dont think u can stop blocking.i wa splaying a game and the guy who i was playing was lining up and a ai controlled player of mine ran and stood right and front of him. so i had to select him to move him away but he kicked it into me and so i got the ball and gave it to him so he could get the goal

Nothing, it's about exploiting the system to create monster ruckman with 99/99 stats and speedy mids that can evade every tackle, etc.

It's the exploitative teams, not the genuinely created one's.

I have a created team that I've used once or twice, they're 1 star and the best player is under 90, so I couldn't have close to an exploited team (for example).
 
My problem with custom teams is that 90% of them have some BS ruck, and half of them are quitters.
 
ggcmunzi - custom side with super charged players, over 400,000 xp, but is an unskilled player, hence the cheating i guess
 
I'm not gonna suggest he is 'rogue', but c-mac2217 (?) has a custom side that anyone would find very difficult to beat. His players are super strong and most can shrug a tackle with ease, and his ruckman, fullforward and mids are super good. Plays as the GWS Giants, let me know if anyone beats him :thumbsu:
 
Played Dohers7, a custom based Melbourne side, which is fine, as I used a custom made Essendon side.

However he and one of his mates were absolutely bumping their brains out.

I outplayed him for the most part, and was less than a goal down, until the 3rd quarter when they began bumping me out of contention on just about every contest.

There was nothing I could do, because every time I changed players to get to the next contest, they did it again.

Cheating little pricks.
