Don’t tell me Rachele has hurt your feelings has he!
What are your thoughts on one of your worst players coming out and insinuating that oppo fans are poor/ugly?

Imagine the song and dance from you lot if Todd Marshall went on the radio and pointed out the fact that crows fans are either 75+ years old OR beady eyed/rodent-like in appearance.

Was Rankin concussed or winded when you get the wind completely knocked out of you you collapse like a bag of wheat.
It did not look like to me that he was hit in the head???
What actually happened and the sequence of those events should be taken into consideration when it comes to final judgements.

The "booing Rankine off" stuff is hilarious. A clear sign that people either weren't at the game or are being willfully ignorant.

The booing was Crows fans booing because JHF was given the ball for a mark he'd taken before play was stopped. Nobody was booing Rankine off.
Haha - nobody booed rankine off the ground.

No, the gradings mean it is at least 3 matches. So the grand final scenario could still be in play.

The Match Review Officer graded the incident as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, sending Houston straight to the Tribunal.

Such a classification carries a ban of three or more matches, while a classification of intentional would have been a ban of four or more games.

You can make that argument if you like. It'll fail. Concussion = severe, no exceptions. The AFL has been very clear about this.
The AFL has created the mess they're in. I'd argue that the act of Thilthorpe on Jones is worse than what Houston did. One is a footballing act (Houston's bump), though it isn't seen often anymore, and the other is a cheap way to take out a player in midair. But cause Jones isn't knocked out so it's looked over or ignored. That's not right as the outcome shouldn't overrule the act. It doesn't in any other sport bar the AFL. That is the issue. If Houston broke Rankine's ribs and punctured his lung with the bump it isn't even a discussion point. He wouldn't have been reported.

The whole system is broken cause the AFL is scared of being sued. They aren't protecting the head like they claim they are cause they're letting players lead with their head for free kicks and duck and be rewarded. If they were serious they'd be cracking down on that too.

Surely we could challenge for careless, severe, body instead of high?

It's straight to tribunal so we can argue whatever we want. It's a - pardon the pun - free hit.

Then we can appeal the tribunal decision.

Take it all the way.

Supreme court here we come.

Would be the best sign ever that Port have rediscovered their nuts.
