Maybe Carton just accidentally threw their white shorts in the wash with the navy jumpers.
I don’t actually mind the grey shorts for the most part. The dark patches on the arse look like crap though.
I'm going to have to pore over the photos from tonight but I reckon the game ball has a gold AFL logo, nice touch if it's for every Richmond home game.

Low key though I wouldn’t hate Richmond in light yellow shorts away, not Essendon in pink, but you know... and I support white shorts.

Only started watching the game in the third quarter (and on a small, SD screen to boot). Was very confused thinking that the shorts were just wet at first. Not sure I'm too keen on grey shorts with navy jumper. A Nike "creative design element"? What a load of shit. Surprised Carlton accept it to be honest, I can't imagine them agreeing if Nike wanted to be like Freo and just have either full navy or fill grey and not mix and match.

Freo have very occasionally worn white shorts with their home guernsey, I remember it happening at Kardinia Park a few years ago.

Yeah it has happened on rare occasions, but they prefer not to do it. Its why they wore their clash in the 2013 GF. They were told to wear white shorts but that they could pick their jumper. For the biggest game in their history, they chose the white jumper because they don't like mixing and matching.

Their white strip looks far better IMO, it pays homage to the original Fremantle WAFL clubs and looks great.

The white in the AFL logo stands out so badly against the grey of the shorts.
WTF are they thinking adding a non-club colour to the uniform (and it's a highlight colour - no more a club colour than gold for Geelong). They need to fck Nike off immediately.
