AFL Autopsy Round 1, 2019: Flogging from GWS

Has anyone gone with "it was the loss we had to have " yet? If so, I'll run with that.
My in-utero daughter is 20 weeks away from being born and she already knows to avoid me when Essendon are losing.

It was the lesson she had to learn. Two birds, one stone?

i’m going with the Woosha approach - we lost a game we were expected to lose so who GAF?

NO. WE FED TWO BIRDS WITH ONE SCONE
How about we make the scone stale so it's like a stone, and then we can kill/feed two birds with one sconestone?

Oh no, I've gone cross-eyed

One thing I couldn't handle watching this game was the defenders were starting a metre behind the bloody forwards all day. Why. This is something you learn in the under 7. Stand between the ball and the forward. It made it so bloody easy for them to lead to space unhindered and with the delivery they had they ****ing murdered us.

I'm annoyed because this lack of focus and motivation was the reason we didnt play finals last year, and if you have the talent and you have the skills and yet can't perform, it usually boils down to coaching. Just like Daniher smiling last year after missing an easy goal and Zaha smiling and laughing after getting flogged last week, there's no shame in this team, and Worsfold needs to show some passion and get angry. I'm sick of our team and coaches not giving 100%.

Wasn't our biggest issue, but this encapsulates the general problem with our inconsistency at stoppages.

You could possibly make an argument about a free kick to Myers if you like, but at this centre bounce we should have been able to at least get the ball clear to an outside receiver - instead we continually fumble under opposition pressure and comically almost concede an inside 50.

The one good thing about the above is we don't let GWS get away when they eventually come into possession of the ball.

But seconds later, this is how we follow up at the next stoppage. Look at all the time Whifield - yeah that guy who's usually pretty good at this footyball caper - has to move freely and dispose of the ball under virtually no pressure (partly because of a great block from of all people, Cameron).

WTF is Myers doing?
We can't carry him anymore.
