- Lions guernseys are looking magnificent this season, the Fitzroy red is really popping more so than it usually does

It’s a great jumper. I really wish (and hope one day soon) they’d go full Fitzroy and replace the lion with the FFC monogram. Obviously not on the home strip or anything, but they’re representing Fitzroy in that jumper and they wear it in honour of Fitzroy, so do it properly.

Sydney have gone full SMFC without the opera house and it looks great.

Yep I reckon they’re going with those socks because they used to wear them in the 60s before the hoops

They went backwards making the collars and cuff gold, should have kept it blue and changed the lion to the monogram. Maybe even make it BFC if FFC isn't viable.

I don’t know about bringing back the green/red permanently but the old ‘purple haze’ jumper would be a bit more unique than the chevrons

I'd like to see the anchor uniform back with a home haze base and white anchor uniform and an away red base and white anchor uniform.

The Crows/GWS matchup is a bit messy

Was at the game yesterday and did get confused at times, white shorts didn't really help the clash

Nah. Purple is their identity and there's no clash that isn't cleanly solved by their white jumper. I don't think they'd want to go all red and appear to favour South Fremantle, iirc part of the reason they chose purple in the first place was because it's a mix of South Freo's red and East Freo's blue.

Red also works as a clash guernsey, only would clash with Sydney and Gold Coast, in which case they would just wear their haze uniform. "Predominately" white uniforms are awful, that's why most teams have moved away from them. It really should be only umpires who wear them.

Brisbane in the Fitzroy guernsey, bit disappointed to see it used outside of Vic, especially against a club that never played Fitzroy

Every year it's used in the traditional footy states (SA/WA/VIC), regardless of who they play.

And yet white clearly works for teams that have white as part of their pallet.

Freemantle literally have the best set in the league for this reason.
