Was looking good but missed last week's game with calf soreness. I was hoping he would get more of a run at AFL level but to be honest it may be tough to squeeze him in to the side once Kennedy, Darling and Allen are all fit especially if we also have a 2nd ruck spending time forward.

When you're getting paid 600k a year I reckon you could arrange for the inlaws to help out with the sick kids for a week and go stay with one of the boys

Given we reportedly only had 24 fit players at training this week you'd have to think its pretty good - provided he doesn't get injured first

Outside of the obvious injuries, I'm assuming Ledwards (groin), Darling (conditioning?), Bazzo, Trew (both shin), Strnadica (foot) and Joyce (ankle) are unavailable. Even if any of these guys are fit (outside of Darling and maybe Ledwards) I doubt they're starters for Round 1 anyway.

Leaves Hedwards, Langdon, Dixon, Winder, Jamieson and J Williams as the only other fit players not selected.

Feel for Harry, definitely best 23 quality but with Rotham already down back I'm not sure how he fits into everything without making us too tall.

Wouldn't be surprised if Dixon plays, but feel playing both him and B Williams as forward/rucks would make us too top heavy. Besides, I'm not sure who you'd drop for him. Petch maybe? But I reckon they'll give him early opportunity to impress off the back of his strong pre-season. Ditto Jones.

For XON to be seemingly out of serious contention even with so many injuries speaks volumes about where he is at. Very disappointing.
