Hey Sloaney, would you go Whitfield or Coniglio?
Probably Coniglio.

Whitfield had a big pre-season but Coniglio averaged better than him last season. Whitfield is more of a Gaff type too and if he's not getting the +6s can get an average score. He does tackle more than Gaff but everyone does anyway. Coniglio is more in the guts.

Coniglio got 5 tons from 10 games last season and Whitfield only got 7 from 18. I reckon they can average close to the same but Coniglio is much cheaper.

Yeah I'm thinking Conigs too. PLus in 2016 he had plenty of really good 110, 120 scores

Whitfield hasn't really proven himself to be a consistent fantasy scorer as of yet. Coniglio hasn't exactly had a HUGE season fantasy wise either but the last two seasons has averaged much better overall than Whitfield.

There's been a fair bit of hype floating around for Whitfield this pre season, some are reporting he's had a role change and other sorts of things

He will be playing a bit off half back, so people are suggesting his scores will be huge as a result.
The thing is though, apart from Docherty there really isn't any half back type that goes huge week in week out (Laird possibly). There are more points to be made playing in the middle. I would almost be worried if a midfielder I had my eye on was going to play more down back

None of the GWS half back players have ever averaged well in fantasy besides Shaw and he's now on the decline, so i don't see how Whitfield could average more playing in defence occasionally.

1425/15+C, with Naughton, Coniglio, Gawn, Petracca, Lloyd, Parker and Lycett to come.

From here, 2000 would be pants down lap around the table stuff.

Was second guessing my Kelly choice. How silly of me.
We never tag

Will be interesting when he comes up against the likes of St Kilda and Geelong who regularly tag to see if they do go to him. Can't recall anyone going to him last year even his form warranted it.

Greene and Cogs :thumbsu:

Naughton and Giles :poo:

Geez....only Cogs doing well for me this game :\.
McLean is frustrating me, CrozaN. I had Toby Greene forEVER, then I really wanted Coffield so my way to get him into the team was Toby G down to Toby M. Grrrrrrr!

High priced rookies have been an unmitigated disaster. You get what you pay for has never been more wrong.

I was keen on him once Picken went down with that concussion

But then Caleb Daniel, one of our best ball users can't even get a game, red flag for me.
