Many questions going into this week

Will Timmy be back
Will Ty get another game
How is Gunner's knee
Will we see a rookie upgrade and debut in Cousins
Will Stewart get a game
Will Sicily's first half be enough to keep him in

Can the Hawks get a win on the road against the bloods

Changes, thoughts, dad jokes and random stats are all welcome

Tom Mitchell gets his first game against his old club, let's hope he not only reminds them that he wasn't their 5th best mid but that he has 50 in a win

How the hell does this guy SICILY keep his spot really, farted in his own bath water, called it champagne and started drinking it during the half time break.

I think we'll play ok against Sydney. They still play a traditional brand of footy. It will be like watching a game from two years ago. I don't know if we'll win but we'll be competitive all night.

Whilst he frustrates me like batsh*t I think Clarkco should persevere with him in the backline to stretch and test his defensive side. If he can add defensive pressure, second efforts and desperation then he stays otherwise I hazard to say he belongs back in the twos.

Before tonight I thought we could eek out some little wins and play finals, but I'm certain now that results don't matter. Henderson has been alright but there is really no point in playing him ahead of Willsmore, Cousins etc.

Hats off to Burton tonight, he was great. We need a younger generation to come in and show some hunger - we looked disinterested in playing that second half, like it just got too hard.

X factor is quickly cancelled by don't care factor atm.

If we're going to give up at half time consistently, I'd rather do it with youngsters.

Vickery needs to be dropped. Whilst he was slow and failed to cover the ground, I found his worst trait was his tap work. His positioning and power in the ruck were awful, just got shoved around and did not help. He needs to go back to Box Hill and work his ass off.

In: O'Brien, Brand, Stewart, Cousins, Shoenmakers
Out: Vickery, Duryea, Henderson, Gibson, Whitecross

B: Heatherley Brand Burton
HB: Hardwick Shoey Burgoyne
C: Smith Hodge Hartung
HF: Bruest O'Brien Gunston
F: Stewart Roughead Puopolo
Fol: McEvoy Mitchell Cousins
Int: Sheils, Langford, Howe, Sicily

Cousins in an attempt to solve contested ball problems. Stewart to allow us to roll Poppy/Bruest more into the midfield to solve contested ball problems. O'Brien in an attempt to solve forward marking problems. Brand and Shoey to make us not slow as a snail in the backline while giving us height. And I never thought I'd say these words: I'd prefer Shoey there to Gibson. Basically all these changes to try and fix a problem we're having and have been having throughout our wins and losses. Games given to younger players instead of fringe players. We've lost so much key personnel that the development and reinvention of the side via youngsters is (hopefully) a good approach to take and may yield surprises.

But you know what? Going off the conservative changes so far this year this is what I expect.

Out: Hardwick, Heatherley
Ins: Brand, O'Brien

Willsmore isn't that good. Four years on the club list without getting a game tells you all you need to know.

In Brand Stewart (Tim O'Brian if fit)
Out Hodge(susp) if not Duryea Sicily

B Hardwick Brand Duryea
HB Burton Heatherly Gibson
C Hartung Mitchell Smith
HF White X Vickery Gunston
F Breust Roughead Puopolo
R McEvoy Sheils Burgoyne
Int. Langford Stewart Henderson Howe

If O'Brian fit Heatherly to the bench and O'Brian at half back.
If Hodge isn't suspended straight swap for Duryea.
