Putting Melbourne next to GC for contrast comparison...

Will be interesting. I think it'll be ok, but probably a case of the clash "rules" getting bent a little for the sake of the round (another reason, like "it's Round 1 Carlton-Richmond", "it's the Showdown" and "it's Finals"). Last year GC wore white shorts with their red jumper vs Hawthorn, so I wonder if they'll do that again. Would probably help.

White shorts is my guess. AFL logic and all.

Probably of all the sponsorship changes in the last fortnight, making it impossible to make so many in such a short time. Possibly.
Yeah probably, even if Carlton aren't the only team to have had sponsorship issues this season .

We've realeased an indigenous scarf though that's pretty cool[/QUOTE]
Yeah true .
I'm sure the match worn guernseys will now be even more highly sought after too

Clubs have to buy Replica jumpers to sell in shops from their Apparel Sponsor, however the Game Worn jumpers are given to them as part of their agreement.
To make money on Indigenous jumper they have to sell more than half of the stock they buy. (given a 50% markup)
This was what ended the Heritage jumpers.
Clubs just did not make enough money from them, and in many cases, lost money on them.
With jumpers they got for free they can sell them online at an auction and definitely make a profit, which is the purpose of the jumper in the first place.

I know the last few year the Crows have got their numbers bang on. Generally dosen't make it to 50% off clearance time, and at the end of the season there are usually a few people looking that have missed out

Gold Coast look like they're stealing GWS' charcoal.
It's in their training jumpers too.
It's a shame as there is really is nothing inherently wrong with Gold Coast jumper or colours other than the stupid gradient/background on the logo. Simplify the logo on the jumper and it would look better and then just swap the red for blue on the clash.

Think about it Gold Coast only really have a major clash with Sydney. The Gold Coast Brisbane clash isn't ideal but is fairly minor compared to some of the other clashes that the AFL seems to have no problem at all with.

I agree with your suggestion regarding the gradient/logo/background, but I'd prefer that they inverted their home jumper (swap the red for the yellow/gold)
They are gold coast afterall

Looks horrible though, and the Blue/Yellow is more beachie with the sand and the water.

It would look fine (yellow-based Guernseys are the best <3) . I think they would benefit from a a Freo/Port style re-brand/ simplification of their colours . Instead, they seem to be doing the opposite (introducing dark grey/using more white etc)

I've mocked it up it looks horrible, Yellow with Red doesn't work well at all. The Blue/Yellow is much more pleasing on the eyes.

So did I earlier (using Mero 's template) , and it looked fine
I like your mock-up too (and much prefer it to the blue version), and I love the yellow shorts (yellow shorts don't get enough love )
But I'm partial to yellow , so I might be biased.

Sorry, I can't agree with that at all. Big yellow sidepanels and a crappy logo is not a good design. With gradients or not (I probably slightly prefer it with gradients because at least it's not as boring and they actually give some impression a sun).

Better design than Carlton ;)
