Guys I'm sitting pretty in my h2h's. Should win all of them.

BUT.

I had the VC on Bont and am tempted to take his 114 to be safe. At the moment I have the C on Josh Kelly. I'm not sure. My other C options are Whitfield, Grundy or Merrett.

Should I chase a big score from either of those (leaning towards Jelly) or play it safe with Bont's 114?

What would you do?
I have a rule, 120+ stick with VC, otherwise I choose the most reliable. For you, that looks like Grundy.

That's true, but it's hard to know if that will apply this season. Normally teams are much closer to being completed during the byes than they are this year which would inflate previous scores suggesting this round's scores would be lower. On the other hand, there are usually only 12 teams with active players during each bye round while this round there are 15 teams playing and that should increase the scores this round. Guess we have to wait and see. The one certainty is that my score will be crap.

Thanks for the response. It’s all about getting great scores out of your premiums and hopefully jagging a few good rookies scores!

I’m hoping to stop by slide down the rankings this week with a sedentary score and attack that top 1000 again.

If i have Xerri starting (0 / loophole) and make both King and Aarts on the bench emergencies, do they both qualify as 'best 18 score' candidates or do normal rules apply where the first player who's score qualifies will be the lower of the two?

Would avoid Zerret, I asssume De Boar goes to hime.
Whitfield/Jelly could go huge against the Dons.

But I prefer Grundy against a Ruckless Swan

Pretty sure they will take the worse score (E) like the usually do.

Normal rules apply, only the lowest of the 2 E scores will come into play

Take that Aarts score if you can whatever you do.

Out of interest, how many upgrades does everyone have left to do before luxury swaps?

I've got 3: Gawn, Fyfe/Titch, and Greenwood/Walters.

I think others have done some bargain hunting while I've been holding out for what I want. That's why I still have 5 to get and will never be able to afford them. Neale, Fyfe, Treloar, Dunkley, Martin/Greenwood

Probably doesn't help that I started with Fyfe, Dunkley and Martin but traded them out for injury/poor form.

3 Plus Devon.

Just did some quick math, and it looks like ill easy make 2, but unsure where my cash gen will come from for the 3rd.

Mooing rookies are Nobel, Pickett, Simpson, Rank, Budarick an Georgie.

3 down doesn't equal 3 up. Will need Draper to moo very quickly.

they question is when do the other team get their bye rounds?

Yep... They're definitely going to ruin SuperCoach finals. It's just a matter to what extent now.

It probably suggests that the AFL are NOT confident that they will get through the season without another hiccup. This probably suggests it too:

SCHOOLIES FOR GROWN-UPS? AFL’S MAJOR HUB WORRY
There are concerns the AFL’s Queensland hub will turn into party central as the season gets to its latter stages as the league grows frustrated over petty requests and one AFL champion has blasted the players for it.

not shocked. If its one thing 2020 has proved, its that these self entitled kents really live in their own world. "Some of us have holiday homes to pay for!" flipping spare me

AFL ‘fed up’ as more details emerge of strange hub demands

they question is when do the other team get their bye rounds?
I wonder how they'll handle it if it's R18. It's either unfair on most of the coaches in the grand final (because so many teams have a bye) or on the 8 clubs who had their bye in the interim (as it means some teams will only count 16 games towards SC than 17)

AFL has already stated that Rounds 17 and 18 will be normal rounds leading into finals (Thursday-Sunday) with no bye to affect fixturing.

The byes will be between Rounds 14-16.

The AFL has set precedence that they will group teams from non-Victorian states together (as they have done with the WA and NSW teams. So you can lock in Crows/PA and Brisbane/GC to share a bye with each other (not 100% that it will be all 4 at once).

If you look closely, Pies play Norf on the Monday of Round 13. Saints and Geelong also play on the Sunday. My guess is those 4 teams will bye in Round 14.

Then Dogs/Richmond are the two other Melbourne teams left. I’m assuming they will bye Round 15/16 with one of the two non-Vic pairings.

Basically I assume it will look like this;

Round 14 - Pies/Saints/Cats/NM
Round 15 - Dogs/Tigs and 1 of (Bris/GC) or (Adel/PA)
Round 16 - Two teams who haven’t had their bye yet from the above.
