Tabener isn't up to it. He's depth at best. He's had plenty of time, experience, coaching and development but is still well short of the mark for an AFL footballer.

The excuses given for him on here are laughable. Wet weather, up against a quality opponent, lack of experience etc is bullshit and so out of whack with what other players are afforded.

He's been piss weak the last two weeks and should be dropped. Again. The circle work is predictable, he goes back to Peel , builds some form, comes in and plays a couple of decent games then loses form, gets dropped, builds form at Peel, comes back in, plays a couple of decent games, loses form...and around and around we go!
Then drop Kersten instead, he's been horrid half the season. Yet he's being backed in. McCarthy hasn't even been as good as Tabs tbh, but he gets a free pass too.
Tabs have been dropped when he has had one poor game. On the weekend 20 other players were pathetic.
What about Ibbo when he plays 5 garbage yet gets backed in? Or Spurr who can't kick for anything. Unfair to just say Tabs has been poor, when simply he's in an inexperienced forward line as well as two poor games from the midfield.
He's the product of how well the midfield does, that's what forwards are. Would be nice to get kicks on the lead and the chest, yet the gameplay involves bombing it long and making the forwards seem B graders.

I'm still haunted by that moment he sucked the life out of a packed Subiaco Oval in the PF.

It was a momentum killer that's for sure, but we got typically reamed (I say 'typically' in reference to all the finals we've played against the Hawks barring maybe 2010) by the umps through three or four howlers that swung it their way.

They can say hi while asking for his autograph. Not fit to clean the crap from his studs

Graham Moss was a better tap ruckman, different players I know and Moss won 3 b@fairests in a row at the bombers and a brownlow to boot and came back to Claremont and led them to a flag in 81 against south freo. Sandilands is a handful too for anybody. great player is SM but Moss proved it elsewhere

if we want to have a realistic crack at the 8 we need to win this at home and continuity does help, otherwise futher the experimentation/development from the bye onwards. The form of the team as a whole was obviously woeful lat week. I think D. Pearce has definitely lost a step or 2 and may get one more chance. The fact that Peel did not play should see only minor changes with Sandi and Langdon being the obvious ins. Griffen and D.Pearce under the pump

Yeah Mossy was a great all round ruckman and played brilliantly resting in a forward pocket feeding it down to the Brother boys, Malaxos and a fella called Brett Farmer.
Souths and Claremont run strong in my family, but TI played against Mossy and those Old East hacks in the late 70's and early 80's - Sandovers in 80 and 81 when arguably the WAFL was equal to the VFL.
Just because the king of Kojo didn't go to Victoria doesn't mean he didn't prove it - Tassie Medal as well - and he was only 6'2 - 188cm - he was a hard man amongst giants and made them piss!!!

Calling complete, utter & unequivocal bullshit on this. If playing in the VFL was the be all & end all of a footballer's status in the game then being named All-Australian Captain while playing in the WAFL is a truly remarkable achievement.

Anyhow, Sandi for Griff & Ryan for Ibbo.

If Balic is back, he comes straight back in. As does Langdon and Sandilands. That's already 3. Doubt there will be many more. Maybe Ryan, and Ross loves Sherridan so I wouldn't be surprised there either. Tough week.

I disagree I don't think Balic will be straight back in, what's it been now three weeks with no game? I don't think he's rated that highly to just walk back into the ones.
I seriously hope Ryan comes in, but can't see Ross making too many other changes down back. Wafl boys very unlucky to have the bye the week of this loss

De Luca deserves to be ahead of Balic if going for match fitness. But who knows? Balic probably been doing personal training/keeping fit. Just hope his personal issues are looked after, that's the most important thing as a person. He's a gem of a player that's for sure, but that's a distant second right now.
