Good to see Stengle getting involved and Smith lately has returned to his early season form.

We don't square enough 1v1 defensive contests or repel successfully after the ball hits the deck in there. We just let the opposition pick it up or scrap it until a player gets a clean possession. That's been a big issue lately and arguably all season.

Feels like smith a lot less impactful than I would hope. He racks up the possessions but not hurting gws. Have been feeling the same over last few weeks.

If we go back 2 or 3 years, it's likely most would have wanted the ball in Duncan's hands for a kick to our forward line - since late last season, surely it's Miers who our forwards would love seeing with ball in hand & kicking to them

Yes it's an unorthodox kicking style, and not one you'd likely teach a youngster, but it works for him and his accuracy & ability to hit a teammate is crazy good
