Information on Round 11 matches:
The league leaders in the Gold City Royals will take on the West Coast Wonders who after Round 10 sit... second last on the ladder (perhaps a blunder and miss-match of fixturing, we really aim to be like the AFL here at the Sweet F.A). This Friday night block buster leads the Super Qooty Weekend line up in Round 11. The West Coast Wonders with a win over the Royals can place themselves back in the 8, while the Royals can look to further cement their position atop the table.
Coming off a loss at the hands of the East Side Hawks, the renamed Gumbies FFC will host the Fighting Furies who are coming off a very big win against the ladder leaders. This middle of the Top 8 clash will take place on Saturday night and is one of the two featured bouts that night. The House of Gumby is set to be a spectacular place to be as both teams look to be in the Top 4 at rounds end.
In the second of the Saturday night battles, the Mount Buller Demons will host the Dragons FFC who are on a bit of a down slide over the last few weeks. Winning against the Coney Island Warriors in Round 10, the Mount Buller Demons will go head to head with the Dragons FFC for a spot inside of the Top 4 and be in prime spot for a good run at the Season 24 finals series. Let's see if the Mount Buller Demons can get their team sheet in on time this week...
Sitting one game shy of being inside the Top 8, the Las Vegas Bears will roll out the red carpet for the East Side Hawks at The Stadium In The Sky where they look to take the Hawks spot on the ladder. The Hawks will go in as the favoured team after a cracking win against the Gumbies FFC in Round 10, but in Qooty, anything could happen.
After a shocking 0-8 start to the season, the Sin City Swamprats are starting to gather some momentum as they go into a match at their home ground on Sunday with on a two match winning streak. They will host the Baghdad Bombers who are looking very primed to enter the Top 8 in the next few weeks after their performance against the Roys FFC in Round 10.
A loss for both clubs sees their stocks plummet, but you can be sure that both sides will be putting their all into on Sunday the 15th at Brunswick Junction Oval in order to keep their spot inside the top 8 in tact. This game is a Top 8 shaper if there ever was one and a win here will do a lot for either team as we head into the last month and a bit of Qooty.
I would love to see all players getting involved this round in not only your match thread, but once your game has wrapped up (or yet to be played) to get stuck in to some other teams and show your support for the team you may want to win. Hopefully we can pull this off very smoothly so we can have it happen again in Season 25.
